Model S 0-60 times updated?

I've been looking at the Model S Performance models on the Tesla Inventory page for the last couple of weeks or so.
I noticed that the 0-60 time has changed from showing 2.4 seconds up until yesterday, to now 2.3 seconds today.
Not much of a different I grant you, but was curious about why this has changed - recent software update, or some other reason?

Suspect it is linked to the "cheetah launch mode". Video here;

The number of people who actually go to the bother of engaging any kind of "launch mode" is tiny - I know I haven't on cars I have owned in the past. But that really is missing the point.

I've one of the older "only 700 or so bhp" ludicrous cars and unless you select ludy+ the power is some way off the peak, and when selecting it it heats your battery to within an inch of its life, and max power is only when its at that temp. Dont get me wrong the 550bhp or what every it runs at in normal mode is very nice, but don't be fooled into thinking this thing works like a BMW competition pack
Might be good PR for Tesla but its not accessible to the owner in any meaningful way.

Though the crazy speeds of P Teslas have little relevance on public roads, anyone with the faintest interest in speed will appreciate just how nuts these car are, especially once you have driven one and realise how easily accessible the performance is.
I don't know if it's an urban myth the speed limits were introduced on the M1 after a series of high speed accidents. Frankly am amazed similar things haven't happened yet with these Tesla's. Their ability to go from totally pedestrian to utter bonkers/mad performance is like nothing else on the road.
Personally I think it's only a matter of time some idiot decides to show off in front of a school/town centre and the end result means a ban/limit on how quickly EVs can acclerate.

Wrong I'm afraid. There is huge marketing value to Tesla from this type of update. It gets them lots of free coverage and enhances many people's perception of the brand with these "free updates".

Ha yeah watched a test drive on YT of a P100D. This is true, although you can still do a launch at L+ without the battery fully up to temperature, how much difference it makes in terms of power I've no idea. aestetix1 said:

Now that the top end EVs accelerate harder than 99% of ICE cars, acceleration is apparently meaningless.
