Sounds good, it’ll be interesting to hear how you get on with it when it arrives. The whole phone app entry, insurance and in car camera of evezy put me off getting an i3 from them. I’ve seen reviews and where renters have to walk off to a good signal area, log into the app (which often crashes), unlock the car and then walk back to be able to drive off.
Much simpler to give the renter the car keys like a normal long term rental. Seems too much of a faff. I think you made the right choice to just lease one.
As above, have had an EVEZY i3 for 5 months now and had no issues with the app. It doesn't need a mobile signal once you have downloaded the key for the month as everything works over bluetooth so assuming you have signal/wi-fi on the day your subscription starts/renews you're all set. The Model 3 comes with the keycard anyway so a complete non issue. Much simpler to give the renter the car keys like a normal long term rental. Seems too much of a faff. The camera is inactive and only used in the event of an incident that requires an insurance claim, which is fine by me.
Currently working on the £1k excess on the insurance with third party providers so should have a solution soon. That's the only bug bear for me.

Thanks Swoll, I'd seen a few renters report issues with the app logging them out and then not being able to unlock the car because you need a signal to be able to log into the app again. Guess that depends where you live and if they've updated the app.
As you say, if they supply the Tesla keycard it doesn't matter. Do you know if you get access to the Model 3 Tesla App too or do you have to use just the evezy app and keycard?

Apparently you don't get access to the Tesla app. As you say, if they supply the Tesla keycard it doesn't matter. Do you know if you get access to the Model 3 Tesla App too or do you have to use just the evezy app and keycard?
No, you don't, so you don't get access to the things the app does.
Has anyone seen this video?

There's some talk on the UK subforum of the Tesla Owners Forum about people getting cars with similar problems - i.e. paint missing or very thin on door jambs, etc. This seems incredible to me, I don't know of any modern car - regardless of value - that has unpainted door jambs!

Doesn't that make it a bit crap?I wonder what Evezy allow Tesla renters to access from within their own app?

You do still have access to the car and all of the functionality on the touchscreen. EVEZY also working hard on their app to offer as much of the Tesla functionality as possible, still early days so no surprise it's having a few issues TBH.

Surely that’s not common? It looks awful. Has anyone seen this video?

There's people posting on the UK forums about it, cars they've received recently.
There's enough evidence if you just search for "Tesla paint door jambs" to suggest that it's not just a couple of people. And there's evidence that people have spoken to service centres and been told that it's normal when it clearly isn't (either compared to other cars or just on principal)
I've got no axe to grind, I want to buy one of these cars, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do if I'm one of the unlucky ones turning up to collect and finding out that I've lost the paint shop lottery.

Report it and get them to sort it?There's enough evidence if you just search for "Tesla paint door jambs" to suggest that it's not just a couple of people. Paint is the weakest link in the production chain at the moment it seems.

Agreed for that mileage evezy is prob better. I’ll do c 5k miles a year. The cost is the cost, the per miles is not the key angle for me.
Tbh I got bored of waiting for one. And last 2 cars were black and showed every mark scratch and dirt. Also hate the camera.
Mind you, also worth considering:
Potential loss of your NCB as no active policy in your name
The fact they can take the car away at a moments notice...no commitment works both ways!
All I know is, I cannot think of any other car with the same performance, that I can run for this money. Regardless of how you get one, the model 3 looks a bargain to me on a £ for performance basis. Running costs are the icing on the cake
