I agree with all of the above. Looks like the LR is the one to have watching the Carwow drag race.

My SR+ was in for warranty work last Thursday and they gave me an LR for the day.

It was great and I enjoyed it, but....it wasn't as good a drive as my SR+. It was heavier, didn't turn in as well and felt like it would push into understeer earlier. It also didn't land as well as my SR+ when I do my daily 'launch it off a humpback bridge' route.

It was quicker....but not massively. Having spent the day blasting the LR around, I was worried my SR+ would feel slow, but it really didn't.

If only they made a more powerful SR+ cloud9

That’s a really interesting comparison I’ve been really happy with the SR+ it really is fun and can overtake in an instant. I can’t imagine really ever needing more acceleration.

Oh you can always have more acceleration!

In my view the LR is probably the better everyday preposition. But the SR+ is the purer driving experience. Think 911 Carrera 4S vs 911T.

The old sr+ was, the new LFP one is just as heavy and slower still

Yes about half a second slower to 60 for an extra 10 miles range doesn’t seem a good exchange

They did, back in 2014. The P85+ was RWD with tweaked suspension. But they are hard to find now, however factor in £20k for a new 90kWh battery and you will have probably the best 'drivers' Tesla ever made - Roadster aside.

They made a 75kwh rwd lr model 3 also at the start.

I guess you can rwd bias a perf in track mode but not sure if that'll get you the same feels
