Tesla to adopt new seat technology

Just saw this posted on the Tesla Owner's Club site in the US:
"Essentially, man and machine become one unit, connected to the seat of your pants and the back of your jacket. The American automaker has collaborated with the famous manufacturer of Velcro contact surfaces to give you better grip than side supports could ever offer.
“While all performance cars use seat bolsters to hold a driver in place during aggressive maneuvering, we’re taking it a step further. In this case, the technology we’re employing is actually over 75 years old,” said Elon Musk. “The Performance variants are exhilarating, racing-inspired vehicles. By partnering with Velcro Companies, our new V-LCRO technology enhances the driver’s ability to maximize the cars’ track-proven performance.”
Tesla's technology for seat support now far surpasses what the vehicle can handle. It's said that the V-LCRO will resist forces of up to 3.0 G's. However, most vehicles can only achieve 1 G of lateral force.
At a glance, this looks like an ordinary seat with leather upholstery. However, it's also trimmed with Velcro inserts at the top and bottom. A driver must show a genuine commitment to performance to get the most out of the V-LCRO system. What we mean is that the matching Velcro back must be worn. Tesla has teamed up with designers to create tailored suits that will still look good on you.
At launch, the V-LCRO seat will only be available on the Model X & S Performance models, both able to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds. However, the company is open to offering it as part of a further Performance upgrade for Model 3 & Model Y in the future."
