Does anyone know of any UK tracks with onsite chargers, for doing track days? Or any that have superchargers right near the entrance of the track?

I have a Model 3 Performance.

Silverstone have replied and said I am able to use there 22kw chargers between sessions, which means If I start with 90% and use 20-25% of battery it'll take approx 45 mins to 1 hour, to recharge back to 90%. I know that's not going to be long on track, but it's better than nothing and will give me enough sessions in the day to make it worth it.

I've heard that Brands Hatch have fast chargers on site or very near, Oulton Park Fast chargers around 10miles away.

Donnington Park nothing fast near!

Wet trackdays suit the car better, with the weight and good traction enjoy! smile
That’s awesome! Thank you! Do you ever go yourself? 😊

The Model 3 will only charge at a max 11kW I think.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking… as it’s never the exact Kw , it’s always about 70% of what it’s maximum is haha

Done a couple in the winter months in the work hack at Oulton and Donny, But sadly its been cold/wet.

Which properly helps the brakes, it will slide if you get giddy...smile
Haha Giddy is good!!!

How was it in terms of battery/charging, did you travel to the nearest chargers etc. Also, did you manage to get a good amount of time on track with charging etc?

Silverstone replied today and said that they will reserve me an onsite charger for the full day. It's 60pence per Kw - Which is pretty decent. Above the Tesla superchargers cost, but below the other net works like gridserve at what roughly 0.79+ per Kw which is an absolute rip off!

From memory around 20mins.
Yeah, if that haha. I think, I'll try and do Donny. Charge to 95% and just send it until about 20%, then go to the chargers nearby.

I just want to see how much it can take as standard, apart from lowering the tyre PSI.

I've heard Porsche owners say running as low as 26PSI (On Track) on the exact same tyre and size 20" as mine... and everyone else's I suppose.

What pressures do people recommend for track use on the Non-Tesla MP4S, lets say on a dry day at 15 degrees?

I have what everyone else has, apart from mine are the Non-Tesla Michelin PS4s (no obvious changes in road noise... Tbh, I didn't notice any difference), but for everyday driving. My on screen recommended pressure when I bought the car were cold 39psi rear and 41psi front. It has recently changed to 42psi front and rear.... any ideas why???

Does reducing down to 26psi sound a little excessive specifically for the track 235/35/20 Michelin P4S. I know that will heat up to about 30psi, but some have even said to heat them up and then re-drain them back to 26psi by doing a quick pit, to let the air out. I can see this making more sense on a lower profile tyre.

I wanna try it as standard as possible, the only variable being the tyre pressures. Then, come back with some track tyres that will fit 235/35/20, as I am limited with that size - and some uprated street/track pads .... Then, a 3rd time with non road legal pads or a big brake kit with metal brake lines etc, and maybe a suspension mod
