Standard millennial quote.

This could be the first new car I ever buy, genuinely excited by this.

"How often on PH do we grumble that things aren't what they used to be? There aren't three-door hot hatches anymore, there aren't motorsport-inspired cars anymore, nobody shows off real engineering nous unless it's on a million-pound hypercar."

Who'd have thought it.... company builds something that consumers actually want = demand. These will fly off the shelves come release.

I am liking this very much! cool

This should be great fun to drive and I'm very excited by it.

It does seem strange to me that Toyota have spent money developing this...yet they took the easier/cheaper tie in with BMW route with the Supra.

The power/torque figures and kerbweight seem pretty fine to me. 0 to 60 in under 5.5 seconds will do for me. Some might want more though for sure.

Hopefully it still has the back seats. A really hot hatch needs back seats. Otherwise, what's the point of keeping the hatchback shape.

Just buy an M2 manual instead? Same thing.

Never thought I would see the day I got excited about a Yaris but I will definitely be paying this some serious consideration as my first ever brand new car...fingers crossed it’s kept below £35k, hopefully closer to £30k.

Can somebody confirm this - the press release makes no mention and I've not found photos that show up clearly.
Definitely want rear seats!
