Okay, I've finally caved and decided I must buy a GR Yaris. hehe At this point in time, is my only option to find a used one and pay a little over the odds for it? Worth calling round dealers for cancelled orders? I'm not fussy - just want Circuit Pack and ideally not black paint. I did join the waiting list ages ago, but nothing ever came of it as I think it was too late.

Yes your only option is buy used.

Waiting list was started in July 2021 and ran for around 10 months people recently got contacted to say if you’d like to stay on the waiting list but understanding is that the list is just used by Toyota UK to distribute cancelled orders. Getting a cancelled order is a lot harder now as Toyota UK is cracking the whip and wanting to reallocate the orders the odd one pops up but time vs reward is not worth it.

About once a fortnight one comes up in either The GR Yaris or GR Zoo forums.

This morning, about 15 mins ago..... https://www.gr-yaris.co.uk/forum/threads/brand-new...

You'll need to do your own homework.

I am sure it is just a render but I really like that...imagine if they did this as the GR-R GT or something?

Worth noting that the price has gone up again so if you do get a cancellation it will be at the new price.

There’s plenty for sale just phone a few and put your offer in, someone will sell at a decent price

You’ll not regret it they’re amazing little things

Hello - I wondered if anyone can help me

I’m trying to find a backless child booster seat that fits the front seat of the GR Yaris.

With rear access being a bit of a pain, I prefer to take my 7 year old in the front. The issue I have is most backless booster seats I’ve tried do not sit flush with the seat back as the bolsters protrude.

For example, I tried all the backless boosters in stock in Halfords yesterday and they all looked pretty much like the below picture. The gap between the seat back and booster is ~5cm.

Can anyone suggest a seat that will fit better? It will probably be a narrower booster or one without the small upturned back supports.

Thank you

I popped a post up on the GR Yaris Facebook page and found a buyer (in 24 hours) who was supposed to collect in 3 weeks, I 'bought' his slot for sub £1k
Guarantee from the dealer I will be the first registered owner - not a lot to pay to jump the queue by about a year.

CP car bit with nothing else.

Assume you will be paying the new list price though, which went up yesterday. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

I've been using a normal non-isofix full booster seat with back without issue for a 7 year old.

If it must be backless, a bit of a left field suggestion to meet the narrowness requirement might be this (I've no experience of it, just Googled it, but the Amazon reviews seem positive):

Ive used those bubble bums and they are really only good for travelling abroad. They dont provide a lot of lift and are a bit unstable.

When I used to have a porsche 997 I found the jane montecarlo range was designed to be quite narrow. I think they were marketed towards sports cars.

I have a narrow one which I think came from lidl but dont have a yaris yet but the sear base is quite narrow. The small gap at the back is not a problem if the seat is well held at the base

Not a big fan of bubblebum either - Ok as they pack down small for travelling and better once you get there than a rolled up towel but our kids rolled around on them and slid off the side when asleep.
