On a serious note as has been stated by a dealer and numerous posters there wasn’t a 0 deposit £300pm offer.
My red CP was £5k down, £350 pm over 42 months at 1.9%. Looking like a proper bargain with interest rates rising, cars in short supply and the current price of a humdrum 150bhp Golf at £30k.

Toyota GR advert banned in UK - after 3 complaints

story here >>>

what an utter load of bks - be careful out there in case viewing ad incites irresponsible behaviour

in other news has anyone removed limiter - on private roads I notice it gets to 146 on the clock before limiter operates - I'm curious to know what a standard car will run to without cut out - anyone know?

edit to say - 8000 miles in and cannot think of a more fun practical runabout for the money- which on the right roads still delights

Well I either have a strong example or it is incorrect. 146 displays and is accompanied by soft cut out. it appears to have a little left - which is why I asked the question - I'd be astonished if others have not reached cut out and noticed there did not seem to be a little left in the tank?!

It's neither 146 or 143 mph, it's 230 km/h wink

It's a crap limiter though, surging on and off. Most annoying.

230 km/h is 142.9 mph. Most sources state 143 mph. My brochure says 142 mph!

Errr, those ridiculous ASA rules have been in place for over thirty years, nothing new.

And what does WOKE mean, anyway?

Sorry, but none of that makes any sense.

On my Europe road trip I saw an indicated 145, no surging either.

Expect one to be stolen to be used as a cheap repair for this.

Oh, mine indicates more than 230 when it hits the limiter but all speedos over-read, we know that. When you do hit it though it's a definite 'full power...less power...full power' thing, not completely off the throttle, but enough to be noticeable and very different from a lot of, admittedly German, cars that I'm used to.

Finally getting around to testing a Yaris this weekend. I gave up the idea thinking it wasn't big enough and tested a M3 Comp which was meh, and the Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio which was really nice and is currently my choice but as we do have other big cars in the household maybe the GR might be a better fit, I guess the test dive will give me a better idea.

Hi all

Have been thinking about getting one of these for a while now, but life happened etc and wasn't able to order a car at the time. Does anybody know what the current lead times are like on circuit pack cars or if you can even order them brand new? (Think I remember them not taking orders for a while due to demand?) I see on the configurator its says 16 weeks +, but was wondering if anyone has a more accurate figure? Would prefer a new car, as it would end up being my long term daily. I'm happy to wait a while as I'm fortunate enough to have other toys to keep me occupied at the moment!

Thanks

You cannot order a car and haven’t been able to for 14 months. All those who ordered should receive their cars by the end of this year. The 4 cars that you can see online for delivery in 16+ weeks are standard cars that are cancelled orders, quite rare in that there are currently 146 in the UK but rare doesn't always mean great wink

If (and I think an unlikely if) they go back on sale there is a list which may or may not be used to allocate orders and at present the first 1,000 people were notified of their position on the list and everyone else were just told they were on the list. I believe the ability to join that list has now been removed from the website and just the generic Toyota newsletter signup in its place.
