It’s also a bit odd test driving a GRY then getting an i20N surely an i30N is the closest offering from Hyundai? Suspect the OP just wanting to justify his purchase of an i20N.
Looks like it. But not as odd as hanging around a GRY forum dissing the car and praising his choice.Unreal said:

You are completely wrong but don’t let that alter your opinion. I fully intended to get the GR but once I’d sat in it i decided against. Tbh the i20N wasn’t even on my radar. PhilPol said:
I'm trying to imagine the feeling when, inevitably, a GRY overtakes him on a wet B road, ironically around a left curve.

I said it didn’t suit me and was surprised that it had issues that I never knew existed which left me very disappointed hence my jaundiced view. Hell have no fury like a driver who’d set his heart etc. I’d love one but it’s not to be. If someone overtook me in the wet on a LH bend I’d probably think the driver is an idiot and the further away from
me the better

For those looking for one, mine is listed here (Pistonheads), around £1,500 less than similar 22-plate cars on Autotrader.
Grear cars, fast, grippy, fun, but I'm 50 years old and opportunities to drive around like my pants are on fire are rare
I'm sure you'll get a quick sale, and I hope you had a blast! I'm 50 too, and certainly between pacifying the wife and kids, getting time in the car is a challenge, but I still occasionally rip it up the high street like I'm 19 Grear cars, fast, grippy, fun, but I'm 50 years old and opportunities to drive around like my pants are on fire are rare

As has been said before many times, on any B road, it's about the most fun you can have. Also quite exciting on dual carriageways, especially around the roundabouts. It's a JCW mini tuned up to 11, with even more grip and traction.
Shamefully I now get my thrills seeing if I can get to work and back on pure electric in my BMW hybrid

Although I’m 50 and still find every journey seems to be a blat-fest!
I think I'll be selling my 7k mile Pure White circuit pack GRY in the New Year, however I'm having a bit of a dilemma.
I have minor scuffs on the edges of both of the rear alloys, and my dilemma is should I sell the car as is (and drop the price by a couple of hundred quid) or should I refurb the alloys?
What's the consensus, would you rather buy as is or with the issues sorted, the rest of the car is in top condition.

7k is low miles, I'd expect it to be showroom condition. I say fix the scuffs, this way you don't have to announce it in the ad, or explain to a potential buyer why you didn't announce it in the ad.I have minor scuffs on the edges of both of the rear alloys, and my dilemma is should I sell the car as is (and drop the price by a couple of hundred quid) or should I refurb the alloys?

Do these wheels need anything different for a refurb?
If they are not bad then one of the mobile fill and paint it people may be able to get it good enough for sale.

Each to their own and all that but it really isn’t an issue. 19,000 miles and no riser. A lot of people who test drive don’t realise the mirror has 2 knuckles so will go higher than what most people think.
My opinion FWIW is that I drive many cars as we have 6 in our family and I don’t for a moment think “ i can’t drive this car for whatever reason “ you just adapt . We have 2 range rovers , a fiat 500, 2 fiestas and
a 911 all of which are very different .
If I had a GR ( and I’ve driven one) I’d not be focussing on the mirror , more how I can drive it and enjoy it

Unsold once again. Think it’s been up for sale longer than it’s been driven.

Anyway here are some bits of the Q&A (I managed screengrab)
"I was interested in buying this car from Targa Florio when they had it up for sale. I stated I was a cash buyer and ready to buy subject to seeing it and it having the original exhaust. Despite the above they didn’t want to listen to any offers, even after I said I would be at £35k. Unfortunately for them they seem to have found themselves in a spot of bother potentially making a small loss"
"Real shame. Was really interested in this car but it’s clear that the seller has no intention of answering any of the comments."
"..where did you get the rubber floor mats for the GR Yaris? I’ve looked everywhere on the web and cant find any with the correct plastic clip fittings ..."

Tbh I couldn't believe how much the vision was impaired by the seating position( I could've coped with that) but the intrusion of vision with the rearview mirror was just too much, I don't think the riser kit would've made much difference.
All fairness to Chris at Hot Hatches in Beaconsfield as he sold me a Hyundai i20N. A great car
The seating position was doing my swede in! I'm 6'3 and just couldn't get it set anywhere sensible. Pedals too close away, wheel too far away, can't see out of the windows etc.All fairness to Chris at Hot Hatches in Beaconsfield as he sold me a Hyundai i20N. A great car
Thought I was getting used to it after 700 miles or so, but I was getting a stiff neck trying to peer out of the window to see where I was going.
I've just fitted the SWM fixed seat lowering plate and its transformed it. The seat now has some lumber with its new angle, I don't fall out of it cornering and I can see out! Its still way too high really and the pedals are super close causing to catch my knee on the steering column but now its acceptable and I can actually see to place the car precisely. Its kinda like a French hot hatch seating position.
At least the gear lever is in the right spot
