Ok thanks. Sounds like a manufacturing issue if that’s the case. Looks like the A110 isn’t for me unfortunately
I think given your restrictions (and I'm not going to argue with them) you're probably right.

The only thing I can think of that might work is a booster seat for your wife. Only you know if that's worth suggesting.
My wife is a bit shorter than I am and she just pops a cushion on the drivers seat when she drives.

Us PE owners have our warranty expiring shortly;

Who is :

1.Looking to extend their warranty?
2. Planning on going indy after the warranty expires and

If you are going to go the Indy route will you be getting the final service done at Alpine just in case or moving over shortly.

I have found Manchester to be pretty good, the issue for me is its a day out every time which I could do without and its not even an interesting route.

Anyone know a good Indy in the west Midlands/Shropshire area as I am seriously considering my options.
I live in Wiltshire but work in Bristol so I’ve reverted back to a Bristol based indy I’ve used on & off for the past 10+ years. They are ex-Lotus mechanic’s who came highly recommended when i had my elise & europa and their service & knowledge has always been first rate.

Based on my recent experience I won’t be bothering Alpine Winchester again, third service has been done and I’ll be making sure i get an early mot incase of any issues i need addressed before the warranty expires. Not sure if Alpine offer an extended warranty option but if its anything like Porsche where you need to pay them to inspect the car before they will even offer you the privilege of paying for an extended warranty, its a resounding no from me. Besides I’m looking forward to adding some Life110 enhancements over the come 12 months wink

That’s interesting as I’m in Wiltshire too and currently use Martins. Would be good to learn who your indy is if you don’t mind sharing?

Finally got my car!

I know it's bright orange, but the attention it gets is unbelievable. Had a lot of people wandering around the car trying to look for badges as mine are off right now. Someone in a GTR asked me if it was a Porshe :P

Done about 240 miles so far, about 20 in the center of London, other 220 driving on the motorway/A-roads. Very special so far, loving every minute. Can't wait to get the run in period over with.
That is gorgeous sir bow

if only that colour was available when I bought mine…….

Question for fellow owners and possibly Tim smile

I’ve had a couple of strange occurrences with the lights.

Firstly when driving in the daylight I’ve driven through a shaded area and the auto lights feature has kicked and the lights have come on, fine, but then when I’m back in full sunshine again they don’t turn off again, even after 20+ minutes, without stopping, turning the engine off and then starting up again.

Secondly I was driving home late last night with the lights on and was switching between main and dipped beam due to traffic when the car decided it didn’t like main beam anymore and the lights wouldn’t illuminate, albeit dipped beam continued to operate ok. No amount of flicking the stalk on or off made any difference resulting me again having to stop, turn the engine off and restart and they started working again.

Anyone else had a similar issue or do I put it down to TADTS, they are French electrics after all? smile

If the auto wipers have gone AWOL as well I would suspect that the sensor behind the mirror had fallen off the glass - mine did. No idea about why your main beam went AWOL.
We have had one car with a faulty stalk that had to be changed and another where the sensor fell off the screen.

Best booking it in with your dealer to check these faults out ??

Thanks both, I’ll give Martins a call smile

Going to have a look at the Emira at the GFoS tomorrow. Must say I think Lotus have nailed it so will be good see what it looks like in the flesh.

Not sure sure I can be tempted back into a Lotus just yet as I’m loving the Alpine, but it’s nice to have another, non-Porsche, option on the table for the future.

I was at the Festival of Speed yesterday and only saw one other A110 all day. It was in Alpine blue with white wheels and the signatec rear lip spoiler, not sure if the owner is on here but the reg started RO55 from memory. Other than that there was a lovely original A110 in the rally paddock at the top of the hill. Just a shame none of the stalls seemed to have anything Alpine related and the F1 team weren’t there either. That aside it was a cracking day and got chance to have a look at the Emira up close. Very impressed but not sure I’m captivated enough to put a deposit down yet, still loving the A110 too much, but could be a possibility in a few years.

Thanks. I have just started going through the thread so I will learn what others have got and options. There are only a few options on the GT and the only one I've gone for is the premium audio; is the Telemetrics worth it? This car is unlikely to see a track.
Personally I preferred the Focal system without the subwoofer so I didn’t spec it and don’t regret the decision as the system sounds great without it, but to be fair everyone’s different, so if you like it go for it.

As for the telemetric’s, I’ve got an ‘S’ so it came as supplied but I would have spec’d regardless as I think it adds a little to the experience plus as others have said you need it for some of the temp gauges.

Just seen this option on the UK ‘S’ configurator too - was checking for something else and this popped up as an option.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know the paint code for the ‘S’ Matt black 18” GT race alloys?

Unfortunately I managed to scrape one of my spokes passing another car down a narrow country lane furious Whilst they are called Matt black they have a metallic effect with, what looks like, a Matt clear coat.

Now I come to think about it, that’s what I paid for the service, forgot I bought some touch up paint too smile

Mine always starts with the Aux function, but I then have to click that and then select iPod as I use this rather than listen to the radio.
