We had a look at the new A110 GT at the Hampton Court concours show. Very smart looking in a unique silver colour and special gold and silver wheels.
Wasn't so keen on the brown interior but it may be possible to option that in black. My favourite is still the Alpine blue and parked next to the GT was a beautiful Berlinette one of the last models and owned by the Renault heritage collection.
I wonder if the Berlinette was the same one that was in the West London showroom. It was there when I went for a test drive 10 days ago but gone when I picked my car up on Saturday.

It's incredibly small.

I just found this article about the Dieppe plant refit - there's some interesting stuff in it about how the A110 is put together. Well, I thought it was.

Very interesting, thanks for the link.
A 50/50 arrangement with Caterham was never going to work.

A long term caterham owner here is thinking about replacing my 7 with a A110 one day.

Anyone here got any of the Life110 upgrades? There was a really positive review in Evo this month of the Life110 demo car. I personally think it looks better than the standard car due to the wheels, small drop and cup spoiler.
I've bought the springs, spacers and wheel bolts, and have it booked in for fitting mid october - looking forward to it. My only concern is that currently I sail over speed bumps without a care int he world - I may need a little more caution after the lowering

Just popping in a reply here. I've firmly made up my mind that I need one of these in my life. Probably the Pure or Legende (or even the GT if there are any left next year). I'm a little nervous about the fixed seats as I can be quite fussy about my seating position, hence the Legende is sitting high on my wish list right now.

Clearly I need to sit in a couple but as I'm currently stuck in the USA until next year (thanks Covid/Trump) I'm going to have to wait and live vicariously through you lucky lot in the meantime

I went for comfort seats for the heating, but I was amazed at just how good the fixed ones are in the Piste Bleue car I tried. Certainly worth trying both before you decide - while I don't regret my choice the fixed are remarkably good, and possibly actually more comfortable (particularly when "pressing on", as I believe the kids say) than the comfort ones. It'd take a back-to-back test to be sure.

I am considering a second hand Legende possibly over a Pure because of the seats as the wife I think prefers the adjustable seats. Most seem to have the brown interiors but I much prefer black.

After 13 years of caterham ownership an A110 will seem very plush

+1 Personally find the fixed seats more comfortable, not just because they hold you better, but they seem softer on my delicate posterior. But you have to try them because they may not suit you so well. Obviously one consideration is if you and anyone else who will drive the car are very different in height and need to set the seat at different heights.

The other consideration is that the storage boxes that really are highly desirable to give you some odment space only really fit between the seat and door with the buckets. The (so-called) comfort seats are a bit too wide. The storage pack - apart from being eye-wateringly expensive - abstructs access to the rear of the seat. Given that is quite a lot of extra space there is one or other passenger is of modest height, the storage pack can be more of a nuisance than asset.

Good info thanks. The reality is it's only going to be me driving in anything other than emergency situations. I do intend to do road-trips / weekends away though so want to ensure we can both get comfortable for the longer journeys

A lot of me loves the idea of the static buckets but want to make sure we can both get comfortable. Anyway an issue for next year unfortunately

I'd vote for the buckets too. Not got them on my car as it's a Legende but preferred them.

Fixed seats are great. Really easy to get comfortable in. Probably never had more comfortable seats I drove 7 hours from Glasgow to Bedfordshire and they were great.

Another vote for the fixed seats, but at the end of the day it’s what you’re comfortable in that counts smile

Spotted earlier today from my bike. 19reg A110 in Alpine blue near the village of Staplehurst in Kent.

In the sunshine and through my sunglasses the colour absolutely popped!!

The "fixed" seat height is only a problem if you change drivers regularly. At 5ft11" I set mine to the middle setting which suits me, and my wife at 5ft2" is comfortable enough at that setting, although I only give her the keys for short periods!

I’ve just ordered my second one...

Had a Pure briefly last year, but got a chance to buy something else that doesn’t come along very often, so sold it on quite quickly.
I’ve been driving an Alfa Quadrifoglio as a daily for last year, which is also a great car, but will be time for a change in the spring, (Alpine build late Jan, March delivery).

Alpine is ideal daily for me - lightness feels good at all speeds, it’s easy to park and as someone said it’s brilliant over potholes.
On top of that there’s all the good stuff when you take it on the open roads....For some reason, the paddles seem to be more engaging on this than most cars, though would obviously vote manual if there was a choice. (Auto is another plus in daily traffic though)
I ran mine in on a trackday last time (shh...) and that certainly loosened it up and ‘loudened’ the sports exhaust.

Now that I know I like them, and will be daily, I’ve switched to Legende spec and gone full tilt with atelier colour etc. Sticking with the non-S as won’t track it this time, and the whole point of this is as a road car that does something different and doesn’t chase numbers.

Something to look forward to through a potentially bleak winter!

What colour did you go for?

Were I ordering again I'd be sorely tempted by the full-on metallic green. Maybe white wheels, which I'd probably regret straight away.

Black Tulip...gold callipers. Possible I’ll regret both too!
But liking the look of it so far.
