Interesting stuff. For me the Pure/PE buckets are probably the most comfortable seats of any car I've owned (certainly better than the Legende seats for me) - and others would say the same . BUT my OH (who has a hollow back) takes a different view and would like more lumbar support. That said she has the same problem with most seats.

Great thanks - gonna look at the Sabelt cushion but will keep this in mind!
I'm also in the happy-with-the-buckets camp, and I've only used one better seat (for me) - a Recaro Pole Position.

The PPs tip it for me thanks to their lumbar cushions, similar to the additional/add on Sabelt ones but underneath the back rest cushions (all velcro so adjustment took seconds). The Pure seats are obviously a lot more OEM than PPs, and it's crossed my mind to enquire with Dave the Trimmer if an inflatable lumbar support could be added. I mean, if you're unstitching the seat...

Got the Sabelt lumbar cushion - it’s smaller than what I was using but feels fairly comfy so far!

I don't believe it's because I've driven manual gearboxed cars for the last 50-years, but the Alpine's left-footrest just seems to be too far away. To rest or press my foot on it, my right leg is bent far too much - and that causes pains in my hips.
All my cars, since at least the 90's, have had left-footrests, so I'm well used to them, but only the Alpine's has given me grief.

To test a theory, I bodged a block of wood on top of the rest, adjusted seating position, and drove like that for an hour tonight - bliss, no hip pain at all.

Now I just have to see what Heath-Robinson fix I can come up with to move the rest closer.

For info, I'm 1.83m (6ft), slimish build, and the Légende has comfort seats.

I don't think it's height related, just that the footrest is set too far back. Perhaps it's possible to fit your (lightweight) block of wood *between* the footrest and whatever lies behind?

The configurator now shows some different seats for GT and S options. Unfortunately it's not possible to select them or see what they look like. Anyone know what is on offer. I personally have never been a fan of the GT seats or the S suspension - if you could get bucket seats and Pure suspension I just might be pursuaded to upgrade....

Well I’ve made a small modification and it’s pretty decent actually.

The cushion comes with a fairly thin piece of foam so I cut down my memory foam cushion that I had and wedged it into the Sabelt cover to give a bit more support as shown in the pics.

It stays put pretty well and I can definitely feel the benefit of using it…it’s just a small inconvenience having to adjust it into position each time I get in the car!

Thanks for the update. Just a thought, now you know for sure it's the lumbar support that's lacking for you, have you looked into this: https://trimtechnik.net/interior-accessories/lumba...

Largely as a result of seeing your original picture I bought one for the wife. It certainly seems to do the job, but the velcro doesn't adhere to the seat, so the cushion has to be stored somewhere or it just shoots forward under braking when the passenger seat is unoccupied. Not a problem if it's for the driver, of course.

That certainly looks like of a professional solution! I’m happy enough with the cushion for the time being, but thanks for sharing!

Ah yeah can imagine it shoots forward under a bit of braking ha! It’s just for me so no such problems, the Mrs doesn’t really spend much time in the car as we tend to be in the family bus when going anywhere with the kids in tow

I've just had a long journey in the bucket seats and I definitely find the budget seats to be more comfortable.

I do find them too upright for my liking and also sit higher than I'd like, however they are so much more softer and "squishy" than the comfort seats which seem to be made of much harder and tighter leather which becomes a pain after a while.

I did my first long drive (6 h) yesterday and I felt quite fresh after the drive. I have some back issues occasionally but so far so good with the A110 bucket seats.

Driving position felt good for me. What was a surprise to me was how soft the bucket seats felt. I was expecting them to be harder.

Does anyone happen to know if you can buy the bucket seats and how much they are?

You can, and including VAT I believe it ended up being over £7k fo the pair hehe

It was so stupid I didn’t bother remembering the exact figure.

My write up with photos for adjusting the Sabelt buckets, its self explanatory. Re positioning the left foot rest should be a doddle compared to the seats
