Alpine App Help?

I noticed the app (on iPhone) had stopped updating the car location on the map, and also the mileage. I’ve deleted the car from the app, and also deleted the app and reinstalled but now when attempting to sync with the car and requesting a code, a message on the app states ‘Error- the code cannot be sent’.
The app is pretty useless if the car isn’t synced.
Did you at least manage to add the car back? Does the VIN begin VF1?The app is pretty useless if the car isn’t synced.

See my reply at the end of page 1. Mine is a VFA chassis number. So my car is shown within the app, but it doesn’t update the map location or mileage, and I can’t send sat nav locations to it. It’s the sending of the code which is failing, presumably at Alpine’s server end. Has anyone managed to get to the bottom of this App yet. When I got my car (23 reg) I recall it just gave me an automatic message to connect to the app. It worked until recently when it asked me to log on and seemed to have lost all my vehicle info. It asked for me to add vehicle but won’t recognise VIN numbers that don’t start VF1, mine starts VFA as do I believe most uk cars. The photo VIN won’t work either.
I’ve messaged Ryan at Alpine Centre Manchester to see if he can assist
Any other ideas?

It’s still working for me . I’m using an iPhone and app V 5.4.1 , on the My Alpine app.I think there is a newer version but I’m yet to upgrade.
The vin starts with VFA.
As discussed there are 2 apps ALPINE and My Alpine . I’ve not used the first one so no idea what the does. My car is a MY22 I’m don’t remember the dealer setting up the My Alpine app I did it a few moths after and I’m sure I did it all through the app not a web browser.

I actually just set the app up yesterday. Install it, type in the VIN (even though it asks for VF1, I typed in mine starting with VFA and it still worked). Make sure you get your 0s and Os the right way round - other than that not sure what to suggest. Where are you getting the VIN number from? Mine was on a white sticker with the handbook, I know it's probably somewhere else in the car, but that's what I had to hand.I’ve messaged Ryan at Alpine Centre Manchester to see if he can assist

The only problem I've had is that it shows the wrong reg - the one my car was originally registered on rather than my personalised plate.
I haven't actually ticked the box to set it up in the car yet. Anyone know what it does/is it worth it? I don't like sharing my data for no reason.
Guys I seem to have fixed this, certainly for myself. When I bought the car it let my link it to the app. Last week I went on the app and it had lost the car. I kept trying to input the VIN into the app which is I think where the problem lay. If you have been using the app previously it will already have your vin logged so won’t accept it again hence it shows the error message.
To resolve I went into my settings on the app and went to “delete account” it asked for my password and enter.
I then reopened the app, I was able to input my email user info and my password again and it opened the app asking me if I wanted to sync my car to it. Once the phone was connected to the media unit it sent the app a 6 digit code and all my vehicle info and connected services came back into the app.
The only difference I can see is that for some reason my vehicle image looks like my car is under a car cover but aside from that all is ok

Alpine seems to be getting rid of the "Alpine" app since I get the following message when opening the app:
"From January 1 2024, your Alpine app will no longer be accessible, find us on the MyAlpine app, available on your store."
The My Alpine app is not available in my country (Finland), so does anybody have ideas how to get that to my Android device? Some unofficial mirror site? Any tips on safe place where I could install the app?
