You might find these threads useful: "The A110 road trip topic" and "Interior storage & luggage solutions".
The A110 can easily be used as a GT (except perhaps the S & R models). Many of us have experienced 2-3 weeks travelling with 2 persons with no issues at all. Due to the limited space your are forced to travel lite which is a real pleasure c.f. carrying too much, 'just in case'...

I can indeed imagine there is a big difference with the Jag! Was your F-Type a V8 or V6?
Yeah it’s all part of the fun. We did a 2.5 week trip down to Switzerland once in our Elise so I’m sure we’ll be fine. I’ve bought some stretchy Velcro edged storage nets from eBay to stop stuff like the de-icer and ice scraper from rolling around which I’ve stuck to the bulkhead, and I used the leather pouch the book pack comes in to pop other bits and bobs in. Our two carry on suitcases fit nicely in the front boot and we should be able to get a decent sized squashy bag in the back.

My F-Type was a V6S that had been breathed on by Paramount Performance with a smaller supercharger pulley and light remap, so it was putting out about 440 bhp. It was a great car but the near endless reliability niggles towards the end of my 6 year ownership became really tedious and it was time for a change anyway. I always loved my Elise and wanted something that was combined light weight but with more day to day usability, and the A110 just seemed to do that better than anything else.

Welcome aboard!

I came from a Jag XK Convertible, which I adored but it felt like a bus in comparison to the Alpine. And the A110 is actually every bit as practical and refined (better ride over bad surfaces)…

The only thing I miss about the XK is the heated steering wheel…!
Yes the ride is definitely better than the F-type, mine didn’t have a heated steering wheel though so you don’t miss what you’ve never had! They are very different cars of course, each enjoyable in their own way.

Enjoy! We are certainly loving driving ours so far, really looking forward to getting out onto some proper drivers roads soon though. driving
