Question for fellow owners and possibly Tim
I’ve had a couple of strange occurrences with the lights.
Firstly when driving in the daylight I’ve driven through a shaded area and the auto lights feature has kicked and the lights have come on, fine, but then when I’m back in full sunshine again they don’t turn off again, even after 20+ minutes, without stopping, turning the engine off and then starting up again.
Secondly I was driving home late last night with the lights on and was switching between main and dipped beam due to traffic when the car decided it didn’t like main beam anymore and the lights wouldn’t illuminate, albeit dipped beam continued to operate ok. No amount of flicking the stalk on or off made any difference resulting me again having to stop, turn the engine off and restart and they started working again.
Anyone else had a similar issue or do I put it down to TADTS, they are French electrics after all?

If the auto wipers have gone AWOL as well I would suspect that the sensor behind the mirror has fallen off the glass - mine did. No idea about why your main beam went AWOL.I’ve had a couple of strange occurrences with the lights.

Oh fantastic - is that Acropolis Orange? Looks incredible, and guaranteed to be rare for a long time yet since you can't order it any more. Can't be much more than number 002 or 003, right?
Been following this thread for a while, thanks for the insight everyone. Mine is now at the dealers can’t wait for delivery!! bcr5784 said:

Best booking it in with your dealer to check these faults out ??

Why did acropolis get stopped then? Looks fantastic!
Word on the street is that they were having problems with some of the oranges in production, but who knows? Was lucky enough to get a dealer order with my preferred spec. Had been trying to match up an original Acropolis Orange Berlinette in the configurator, but was unable to do so, didn’t know at the time the colour had been withdrawn! Had my eyes on these French beauties since seeing the launch car at Le Mans.
Below not my car but similar spec:

Look forward to some more pics whenever possible
(@Jimbobc - Don't know the facts, but with a scrap of industry knowledge, some shades need more time (or even coats) than others, even in an automated booth. Some need so many coats or time that it can become impractical/inefficient to keep applying that paint on a production line - I know of one colour for a very modest hatchback needing four trips through the paint line to achieve finish, and that colour was reformulated as quickly as possible.)

This looks fantastic. Acropolis was my 'backup' choice, but while orange with blue stitching does work (imo), it's better with the S interior - perfect!

Thanks for the extra info regarding paint, will certainly post mor pics when I get her home. Look forward to some more pics whenever possible

This is one of the issues with the exposed metal and the blue stitching when it comes to certain colours. Shame you dont get a choice.
Agree, would have been nice to have a neutral colour option when specing an atilier colour, like the grey stitching in the yellow colour edition. How many times can I use the word colour! Back from the "running in" tour heading up through Wales to my folks' in the Lake District
Did around 800 miles all in and got her to over 1000 miles. I did start pushing on a little more and using the paddles from around 700 miles. The engine and whole car really is feeling looser and more ready to go.
Few more reflections after another few days in the car. The first thing to say is I absolutely love it! It's such a perfect car for the UK roads. Small, supple more than quick enough and attracts all the right sort of attention. I've had more conversations in petrol forecourts in 5 days than all my other cars combined. People just love it and are super curious. Reactions range from those who know the original and think it's a great update to people who've never heard of it but still just really like it.
Onto the car itself. I was having a little grumble about my seat comfort at the beginning of the trip and those comments remain valid but I'll adjust them slightly, it's only really a noticeable thing when sitting in for long motorway distances. When driving along B roads with plenty of direction changes it's just not noticeable. I assume this is down to combination of fun, concentration but also moving around a bit more in the seat. I'll also contextualise it. After 800 odd miles I've not felt stiff leaving the car. Not had any numbness etc, there's just a sense of slouching which is easily solved. I may see if I can find an old CGLock online somewhere as I love the way those pin you into the seat more and help prevent slouching.
I've calibrated the wind-noise a bit today as well as picked up my Wagon from getting it sorted as well. In context the noise isn't bad at all and also really only noticeable above 85 so again I'm really not complaining about it, just an initial observation.
From a driving perspective the car is so wonderful along B roads, the flow of it is by far the best I've experienced. There's plenty of power through the rev rage, the gearbox is fast up and down and the downshifts are really quite naughty with the sports exhaust! The brakes deserve a special mention. I've got the big brakes and they need a decent shove, you dial into that very quickly but they give wonderful feel because of that and are really confidence inspiring.
On the ay south today we drove through some horrific conditions and I was a little concerned about the lightweight car and hitting water but it remained very true. I did hit one big patch and puckered a little but needlessly, the car dealt with it nicely, maybe something to do with the relatively skinny tyres?
Anyway overall I couldn't be happier, it's such a wonderful little thing.
Oh and the missus loves it as well, as do all my friends and family. A good buddy of mine has a Tuscan S and reckons the Alpine would be quicker down his usual roads due to the gearbox and confidence you have in the car (he's had a couple of moments in his and is a little tentative on the loud pedal now! He also thought the sound was plenty good enough, high praise indeed from a TVR owner!
Oh and in terms of storage, we used the 3 bags that came with the GT. I used the 2 smaller ones and SWMBO used the larger one and her handbag. They took all clothes and washbag etc for 4 nights with ease and if we'd been pushed we could have fitted at least one carry-on bag, possibly 2 if we got canny with the packing so I'd have no qualms about taking it away for longer trips now.
Few more random pics from the weekend:
Edit: My dad took the last 2 and clearly decided the number plate needed blanking out!
