Alpine A110 owners
Discussion
The Alpine is certainly a lot more akin to a mini GT in terms of comfort and refinement (although this last trip exposed a few low rev rattles), the ability it has to glide down roads so beautifully is, at times, almost too effortless.... there is a lack of that arse on the road raw excitement for me that means the old Vauxhall will always have a place in the garage for those shorter runs and trackdays (although I did drive the VX to Croatia quite happily).... plus the roof comes off 👍
Definitely room for both in the garage.

Just got back from a great weekend walking in the Lakes. Took the Lakes Peninsula route off the M6 via the A590 and then up the A595 and then into Wasdale. The car was absolutely stonking in the wet! Just need a decent run when it’s dry!
I wondered how they fare in the wet. Whilst mine had a proper caning in the dry yesterday I was much more cautious in the wet today. Are the PS4's a good wet tyre? I didn't want to bin it before fully understanding the car.Great pics btw.
I felt safe enough, traction and braking were both reassuringly predictable and could be lent on, .... but I was only driving at say 70%, I’m a pretty cautious. Great thing about the A110 is that it’s still great fun at these speeds! Only moment was on the M6 heading home when I aquaplaned at 55mph for what felt like an age! That was pretty hairy to say the least... but then that’s also happened in my wife’s Volvo!
As a daily driver I’ve noticed I’m strangely enjoying my A110 even more now that the weather has turned than I did back in the summer. It just seems to glide down my favourite A & B roads better with a greasy layer of filth on the surface. Or am I just concentrating more so I don’t over cook and bin it... anyone else found this?
Ps. Yes the hoover up the leaves etc, still can’t make my mind up on the Zun Sport grills, spoils the look too much imo.
