There is someone on the Alpine 2017 on tips and tricks Facebook group has what sounds like a similar problem. I don't,

Howeve the odd thing I have noticed is that the piano key button to turn ESC off doesn't seem to work. In other words you can't turn off ESC even in track mode. I wonder if others have the same thing?
You do have to hold it a few seconds - a quick press won't do.

Same as for Porsche. So unlike my e46 bmw. Off means off if you press for more than 1 sec.

Just went for a quick drive to make sure everything is ok for my next track day Thursday at brands GP. On my streets, the suspension thumps and creaks until the car is warmed up. It is strange that I have to warm up the cage as well but I’ve gotten used to it. Think the A110 when it comes will be a great little all round car.

Will remind me of my Cayman R but lighter and much more track focused

You need to be in track mode and hold it down. Have you tried this?
Ah thank you that works if you indeed hold the key down for a bit when in track mode. There's no light on the switch itself but the change is indicated on the dash

Hi

I've just taken delivery of 22MY A110 and wanted to see if anyone else has same issue. When the stop start kicks in, the radio and screen power down and then reboot up. Asked the dealer but they've never heard of this problem. Anyone else had this issue? Other than this, it's living up to expectations!
Could it be the battery voltage going low when the engine starts tripping out the infotainment? Does it reset when you first start the engine or just when stop/start is activated?

This is a quick query to A110 owners about going backwards on a slope, my garage has quite a tight exit and I have to go back once before it will turn out, when I'm selecting reverse its rolling forward slightly before actually going back, my heart was in my mouth this morning, picked my car up last Tuesday and this is my first non manual car, any tips would be most appreciated

In reverse (but not in drive) you can balance the throttle against a left foot on the brake. It can give you more control in situations like yours. (In drive pressing the brake kills the throttle).

Took the Alpine out for a road-trip up to the Midlands and back down through the Cotswolds this weekend. No pics but it just reminded me what a fantastic car it is for the UK roads. The way it flows down a road is always sublime. I'd had a pretty unsatisfactory experience with the Renault dealerships when I took it for its first service but that all goes away when you're just driving them!

Yes I had my left foot on the brake, actually I haven't used my right foot on the brake since having it, I think I just need to practise with it a little, ie making sure I give my self more room at the front it will just mean a few times forward and back, thanks for your reply.

Hello all,
I've been following this thread (and this section of PH) for quite some time, although I've never driven an Alpine. My local authorised dealer looks to be Solihull, would anyone like to share any experience with them?
I'll be enquiring in the next couple of weeks, with a view to placing an order following a test drive. Though my mind is already made up.
Have any other young(ish) potential owners had any issues with dealership test drive insurance etc?
For context I'm 28..
Have owned and dealt with various brands in the last few years, and do still worry about being taken seriously.

Ive had a test drive at Solihull that Tim arranged. All went very smoothly. Contact them and arrange it before you arrive and it should be fine. They are not at all aloof. This was in November though and they have been taken over since then by someone else so processes may have changed but not much I would think

Has anybody changed shiftpaddles on a 2022 MY?
I got mine this week and wanted to install MP Rezeau Shift paddles and ran into a problem:

I removed the Torx screws on the underside of the steering column but the upper plastic panel is so tightly connected to the underside panal that I was afraid the panel might crack when removing it.
In Life110's and MPRezeau's videos it looks rather easy.

Anybody has had a similar experience?

Tim at Solihull is great.

I’m sure he will be delighted to lower his average client age stats.

He advised me the minimum age for a test drive is 25 (sadly not for me, my son !).

Enjoy the drive,

Simon.

Yes agreed - Tim knows the product incredibly well and like someone else said is a normal car guy. Not aloof or anything like that (i'm young-ish too).

What are Solihull like on the servicing side?

I think an OTA update has solved it as that and asking about UK map updates have both stopped now. Thanks

Mine came from Tim at Solihull. I'm a similar age and he set me off in a delivery miles Legende GT on my own for 2 hours...

I'm older than you but still young for the typical buying demographic. Tim happily sent me off by myself twice in the Solihull demo and my a110 arrives shortly.

No pressure, lovely to deal with. Highly recommended!

My 2018 PE did this, it also had an alternator failure (or 'charging system failure' as the dealer put it). Since then I turn off stop/start every time I get in the car.

I checked this on my non-UK car today and I don't have units on the settings menu either. Last item in there was language.

My car is 2022 A110 sourced from Belgium. It looks like this might be an UK thing.
An update - Alpine Bordeaux have now confirmed that to get mp/h I would need a reconfiguration down by the Alpine centre. I will just have to stick to my piece of paper with KM/h to MP/H conversion - the car will be in France for 99% of the time.

Plenty of apps that will display kph based on the phones GPS.
