By the looks of that map, it contains the Applecross pass. Good map leglessAlex said:

The ViaMichelin app has a "Discovery" route option that does this sort of thing. I have not used it myself, so I cannot say whether it just takes you around industrial estates.
This supposed to be good more often than not, although like you I haven't tried it myself. Maybe I should, some friends rate it highly and I believe Harry M has had good success with it.Miserablegit said:
The cars arrived here in 2018 so if no purchase has been made by a potential purchaser in 6 years I think it unlikely to be made at all.
Lack of dealers will have deterred some potential purchasers, so as the dealership expands to cater for the coming SUVs I think there is scope (in terms of market demand) for sales beyond 2024. The electric Cayman is targeting a 2025 release, so it's quite possible there will be demand - if legislation allows - for the "last" ICE cars as long as they are produced.biggles330d said:
I used it in France last year on the way to LMC. It's fine but you have to appreciate that what it does is route you through the middle of towns and villages. It's logical as you do 'discover' a lot of places, but it can be frustrating when you'd rather take the bypass on your scenic route. Once that's understood then you can ignore it when it takes you into towns you don't necessarily want to go through and it picks you up on the other side as you continue to the next place.
I use ViaMichelin's 'Discovery' option all the time to plan road trips abroad. Its planning focuses on the 'green' routes on the Michelin maps and, indeed, lets you drive through town and cities. As ViaMichelin is not CarPlay compatible, I always redraw the route in TomTom, in which I skip the towns, cities, and parts that look less interesting from above. TomTom's old MyDrive website also shows Michelin's green routes, which makes planning quite easy. Last week I used this strategy to drive to Northern Spain in 2.5 days, with only a two small stretches of toll road (the tunnel in Antwerp and the autoroute between Narbonne and Perpignan). The Michelin PS4's do very well on cold wet roads, btw!

I'd love to hear your itinerary for that trip?Last week I used this strategy to drive to Northern Spain in 2.5 days, with only a two small stretches of toll road (the tunnel in Antwerp and the autoroute between Narbonne and Perpignan). The Michelin PS4's do very well on cold wet roads, btw!

I would like to travel to just North of Madrid and check out those roads, however it's a long drive, the Ferry is insanely expensive and there appears to be no interesting places to stop off along the way through France. So it would be good to know what you thought was the best route to take.

I will gladly post some more details on the trip once I have found my way home again (will plan that next week, depending on weather conditions; I will certainly avoid the departments in the Massif Central as those are closed for cars without winter tyres until 31 March).I would like to travel to just North of Madrid and check out those roads, however it's a long drive, the Ferry is insanely expensive and there appears to be no interesting places to stop off along the way through France. My favourite 100 km stretch of road in France so far is the D940/D30/D3 from Guéret to Uzerche, through Bourganeuf and Eymoutiers. To me it has just the right amount of curviness, with some longer stretches and faster corners. I drove it with the MX-5 through heavy rain and with the Alpine in very light snow, so on either day there were no cyclists at all. It’s just east of Limoges, not exactly between Calais and Madrid I’m afraid.

I've incorporated muting the audio in to my start up procedure.
Foot on the brake, one finger over the gap between both volume up and volume down stalk, press the Start/Stop Button, immediately pull your one finger back to hit volume up and volume down simultaneously to get an instant mute.
Thanks Alex, this is a really useful tip! How did you come across it, is it mentioned in the infotainment manual? (which I still haven't gotten round to reading thoroughly I have to admit).Foot on the brake, one finger over the gap between both volume up and volume down stalk, press the Start/Stop Button, immediately pull your one finger back to hit volume up and volume down simultaneously to get an instant mute.
The default to out of tune AM Frequency whenever you re-start the car is a real annoyance. I wish there was someway it could stay on AUX/ Bluetooth.
I never listen to standard radio stations these days, just dire with crap music and advertising nonsense. Only ad free internet radio stations with music themes I enjoy; or TIDAL via bluetooth.

Mine stays on Aux - so I don't have a problem with (very irritating) default to Am radio. I'm pretty sure pulling both up and down volume to mute is in the manual. That's good to know - it gives me hope of being able to set the default to AUX. Does anyone know how to do this exactly?Meonstoke said:

It's not a case of setting a "default" setting (in my car) - I just select Aux and unless I select something else it just stays on Aux. If you do listen to the radio then you do have to select Aux again or it will come up on AM.bcr5784 said:

If the weather is good I'll take her out this weekend for a spin, and I'll re-try the source options. The thing is I never listen nor select the radio source options (AM/FM/DAB). I only ever select the other media source options and then select bluetooth for TIDAL or for internet radio. But every time I stop the car and re-start it, I get the AM Radio option back by default, and never the AUX. I'll have another go to try to work out what's going on.After 13-months of successfully playing music from micro-USB sticks via the console's USB-2 ports, mine has decided it can't detect anything plugged into either USB port. The only temporary fix I've found is by repeatedly turning off/on the whole infotainment system half-a-dozen times, but today even 'if' it found a stick, it then displayed 'nothing connected' a few seconds later. Damn annoying since the radio is rubbish - both in terms of reception and content.
It isn't the sticks I'm using, tested six different ones now.
