Alpine A110 owners
Discussion
This has been flagged up and discussed on the French FAR forum since the end of January (see Blocage des Livraisons).
Although nobody has been given the exact cause, apparently it's some sort of quality issue.
Cars are still being produced but held at the Dieppe factory and only being released to dealers when sorted, meaning deliveries in February are delayed.

Yeah I’m on the main French boards every day so I try to share info here when it’s not already been brought up
Issue may be paint according to the most recent comments on the FAR forum thread.
Heritage paints (the 5k€ ones) being held up until 15/03 apparently…
Better to fix big issues at the factory imo, but delays are annoying indeed given the already big waiting time for a new A110.
I’ve ordered my S in August and should be delivered in June 2023 lol.

On delivery/lead times: quite substantial differences between markets it seems. I signed my contract in early October 2023 and received the car (110S) in December of the same year (build to order car, Germany). Obviously not complaining, just surprised.Issue may be paint according to the most recent comments on the FAR forum thread.

Oh yeah that’s fast !
A few options can delay the delivery quite a lot and I took all of them apparently, carbon aero kit, carbon roof and heritage paint.
I have my regular A110 in the meantime so no rush anyway.
Yes, I heard the same from an EU dealer; who also mentioned that ordering a new car with a carbonfibre roof is no longer possible as they are needed for the 'R'. I assume he meant temporarily on the mainstay models not available due to lack of supply. My was delayed due to an issue with the alignment of the fuel flap. Could have been fixed at the dealer, but was fixed at the import centre. Apparently... Issue may be paint according to the most recent comments on the FAR forum thread.

Not only was it quick, but it travels in time as well! Nice! You will find that the first thousand miles go quite quickly, not least because you will suddenly decide that you need to get a pint of milk...from Inverness.
I believe a number of early-days digital glitches sort themselves out; which is another reason for turning the ignition on, just to see what's happening...

One clock is set electronically (satnav) the other (speedo) is set manually so twice a year you have to change it anyway - I think that's the right way round but its all somewhere in the one or other of the owners manuals
It took me three months before I even noticed that both clocks were out of tune, so now I'm trying to unsee it. The idea of some software developer building two different clock systems in one car is bothering me a lot more than the fact that they are not showing the same time (nor running at the same pace). I guess it's just the French living up to their reputation...A recent quote from 'Morgan 44' ref thread: LV22 FLP car:
"I guess you've seen it at my local Toyota dealer as I traded it for a new Supra MT. Liked the Alpine but various attractions of the change to the Supra for me me including the 6-cylinder B58 engine, manual transmission, ride comfort and space benefits (from my perspective of course)."
The trade-in for a GR Supra MT raises an interesting point / luxury problem. Who else has been tempted or is being tempted to swap their A110 for something else? e.g. for:
(1) an upgrade to another A110 model or a newer version of same model
(2) GR Supra
(3) GR86
(4) GR Yaris
(5) Boxster/Cayman
(6) 911
(7) Lotus Emira
(8) for something else ?
