I'm thinking of buying a Premier Edition but a bit concerned about issues as out of warranty, so far it has had no issues but I am aware it will possibly need an alternator at some point which should be covered by goodwill. I've also seen corrosion on a few and I will likely store outside, but this doesn't seem to affect later models?

I spoke to a couple high mileage PE owners on Facebook, one had done 60k miles and he's had 3 windscreens, 5 fuel valves, alternator, fuel pump, rear light damage, corrosion on all corners, electrical issues... then spoke to an Aussie whose done 54k and no issues. Luck of the draw?

The guy I spoke to had the fuel pump replaced on his 60k PE but it does seem more common on later models.

The car I'm looking at has full Alpine service history so guessing all recalls are completed and software up to date.

I'd look into corrosion inhibitors for all round to try prevent the bubbling but covered for 12 years so not a big issue really.
