Getting in to go-karting?
Discussion
Well this is bloody great fun isn't it. Did a day on the track at Hooton yesterday, went through 15 litres of fuel. Started off with a wet track, never experienced one before and I can only liken it to jet skiing where you need to be on the gas or you won't be turning. Had a few excellent offs on the first few laps.
Once the track had dried it was totally different, I think I need to bring the wheels out a few mm and it's definitely not running the correct sprockets for the track as I'm running out of revs 3/4 of the way up the main straight but it's all part of the fun.
If anyone fancies meeting up there at some point, I'd welcome the company and the expertise/advice as I begin to learn but what a great way to spend a day!
Edit: I bought a Bell GP3 Sport helmet which is very comfortable and well ventilated, I borrowed a suit for the day until I can sort one out.
Where's the best place to buy sprockets?
