I am failing to see why 21s would make any difference to range.

Increased rotational mass?

Marginally bigger contact patch?

I can imagine a difference is possible, but would expect it to be small.

Bit late to this thread but my CT 4S has lost about £50k in the first year. Absolutely bonkers. Leased it....TF.

Nice car but think you've got to be careful how you finance them!

Took the plunge yesterday

There were quite a few new ones available, at 15-19% off

But they were all highly specced and I was focussed on 5 main options

Both charger upgrades (got 22kw charge at the office)
Bose
Pan roof
Bose

Ended up with a 1 year old 4s CT indolomite silver, with off-road, the above an bit more for a shade over 75 with 2 years Porsche warrant

First impressions are, it’s like a an electric rs6

Handles well
Comfort
Love it

Rotating mass is higher, and poorer aerodynamics if wider tyres. Some manufacturers quote 10% drop in range for larger alloys (eg Jaguar).

Well done, i am struggling to find a 4s below 90. Did you get anything off the sticker price?

28 Cross or Sport Turismos on the approved used site for 90k or less.

More if you go non-franchised dealer, and if you're prepared to go slightly older (say 18mths rather than 12), you could go up to GTS or Turbo.

Fantastic, enjoy it. They’re a great drive, irrespective of the method of propulsion.

Two ex demo c4s ct went this weekend at sub 90, both specs >120 on the config. Surely demos cant go lower than 75% rrp.

Why not?

Depends how long the dealer has them for sale for... And there is a lot of stock.

A couple of weeks before I opted for a GTS, a very well spec's C4S CT, albeit not ex-demo but not many miles, went for around 80k. Possibly a bit less.

July/August IIRC (I bought in Sept).

Since then there are even more cars available.

It official - Porsche now offering £5k contribution / discount on all new Taycans registered before end of the year. I quote …

“With every new Taycan ordered and delivered by 31 December 2023, we will give a £5,000 contribution to all retail and business customers.”

I had the same thought. Surely to get people buying them £15k may do it - but think of the existing owners and what that will do to them.

The only way they will sell them is if they offer cheap finance, so many are sold on finance including company cars that a £15k discount even won't shift them. Who would buy new when you look at the very very low mileage cars for sale 2nd hand and the massive price reductions on new price.

Mercedes are offering 0% finance on all electric cars until Jan 24, Why buy a Tacan when you can buy a EQS on 0%.

All manufacturers now days offer internal finance and it is a much better option over discounts. A 10% discount but still paying 11% finance is a NO NO for most it just frightens people off.

Talking to a dealer yesterday who said Tesla have created this issue because they’ve discounted their cars, are offering 0% finance and because they have a decent range. This was an OPC and he said they are finding it very difficult to shift any Taycans be they new or used. This raises the question of what’s gooojg to happen to prices. I’m wondering if we will see OPC cars under £50k come the new year, for clarity I’m not saying newer ones, I mean the earlier cars.
