What range is everyone getting on theirs? I picked my Cross Turismo 4s up last week and it only shows 200 miles when fully charged, its nothing to do with my driving style as it said the same when I picked it up.

Its more normal than overs! But I think halving in value in 18 months is a bit steep - esp for this marque. I've ordered the chickens - well, eggs!

All depends how you drive and what you got on.

I've emptied the battery in 145miles and also got 250 when trying.

Usually takes 5-6 charges to get to know your style and adjust accordingly. Wheels Size seems to make a difference also. On 21’s with air on auto eco mode currently averaging about 235 miles on typical of local and a roads. Worst ever in winter was 208 and best ever 268. Temps in the high 20’s seem ideal for efficiency.

I spent a week in North Yorkshire, warm weather on almost 100% quiet country roads. Averaged a very good 3.1 kWh/per mile for the trip without even trying. It’s the 80mph+ and start stop of the daily grind that seem to impact range the most.
It’s really the first time I’ve used the charging network away from home and it worked superbly. Stacks of empty fast chargers. The network has really developed a lot over the last 6-12 months although I’m sure things would be different on Christmas Eve or Bank holiday weekend.

The issue with chargers is not always even the chargers. Travelled up from Midlands to Newcastle upon Tyne last weekend. Most of the services on M1 and A1 were very busy and Ferrybridge and Thorpe Arch had queues off both north and southbound slipways.

The service area network does not cope with volumes of traffic. Less of an issue on ICE vehicles where there’s less frequent need to refuel and more alternatives about the place.

Mine is the same, Turbo (with 30k of options) with 31k miles and halved in value as well, cant give it away !! Fortunately I love it but could do with the estate now.

Porsche offered £65k against a new CT Turbo

yikes

Surely that's a big part of the problem? I shudder to think what my non-performance+ 4s is worth now! Yes I probably went too far the other way into poverty spec. hehe

Unrelated but maybe of interest, was over in the UK a few weeks ago and called into Silverstone OPC... the times they are a changin'.

I think even basic a turbo was £120k so £65k in 2 years is still pretty bad !!

Just signed the paperwork on a Cross Tursimo Turbo S.

Car specced to 175k list, 121k at 18 months and 18k miles - Porsche put a GFV on it of 64500 at 48 months.

They cut the PCP finance rate from 12.9 odd percent to 9.8 so was a decent saving to get locked in before they no doubt go up again- was no way I would have bought a EV without a guaranteed hand back option if the market goes south.

Turbo S power is massive overkill power wise but came in within 100 quid or so of a Turbo or 4S but is loaded with all the options which made it seem better value.

RS6 of similar price was going to lose as much money and tbh for all the charging problems I'm sick to death of filling up with petrol and 99 percent of my journeys are within home charger range so for the refinement, lol power and kit on a 175k car it just felt a lot better value than the RS6.

I'm not really bothered about the ICE / EV debate and buying decision was purely based on the fact it's one of the best looking dog wagens ever made imho and the CT is well suited to dealing with the west country as I dont want a SUV.

Just come out of my Ferrari F12 so feel I ticked all the ICE boxes and honestly the silent waft factor is what sold it.

Put a deposit on it over the phone Tuesday, 400 mile round trip to view it yesterday , finance approved and signed today and delivery scheduled for Monday.

This is what sold me - there was a new RS6 at the dealers and it just didnt look nearly as special as the CT.

I was driving my VW T6.1 van back from an mtb trip to Northumberland at weekend.

A black Taycan CT 4 like my own silver car overtook me and from the vantage point of the van, it just looked epic. Daftly wide - stupidly huge as my wife calls it - but beautifully shaped.

Mamba green with those 21" cheesegrater wheels looks the business.

I really hope that’s a typo! That equates to about 28miles to a charge - you sir have one heavy foot! Bravo beer

Congratulations. It looks great.

I was going to order a Turbo CT last year with expectation of 2024 delivery, put the £5k down. Glad they forecast such a long wait as if I had locked into a build sooner I might have been nursing a huge loss now. I got the £5k back no quibbles.

I've now returned my e-tron lease and after running 4 tanks of fuel through the M5 in the last fortnight I'm having no doubts that I need another family sized EV.

The slight curveball is the fact that we are expecting another little one in November in addition to a 3 year old (and our older children who are late teenagers but don't live with us all the time). This means all the baby gubbins all over again and 2 seats in the back.

The CT has seemed really a bit on the small side and I have been tempted by iX M60 which has also taken a battering (2022 cars selling £30k below list), it's obviously no way near as appealing as the Taycan but it's a very well specced, practical and comfy alternative.

I'm still tempted to think to hell with it and buy a Turbo CT for ~£100k and just scratch the itch but like any EV at the moment it still feels like catching a falling knife.

Did you negotiate down much from asking?

No I didn't negotiate the price down at all. Felt the car was already very competitively priced and it doesnt hurt to do a deal that makes the sales manager happy when it comes to future new car build slot allocations.

Given what they were trading at and what some dealers are still asking I feel I got a bargain which is all that matters and the car blows the competition out of the water in VFM at the price i paid.

Get the falling knife concern - I did do a quote on a 105k turbo CT and 48 month GFV is in at 56k - if you run quotes on RSQ8, M3 Touring, E63S, RS6 they all lose similar money so I think at circa 100k the worst of it is done and it's closer to market average on a 100k car.

If you PCP it then although you have to pay interest you have peace of mind if there is no market at all for them in 36 or 48 months you can hand the keys back and it becomes Porsche Finances problem so you are only on the hook for the purchase price to GFV.

Might not make sense in the short term if you want to early exit - what I did notice was the monthly shot up on 24,36 month deals which suggests Porsche are trying to get customers to lock in for long term ownership to reduce the stock coming back over next couple of years.

Makes sense because I think when these get into the 60k range in 4 years it becomes a incredible used buy - an RS6 at that age tends to start needing lots of engine work to start being done and so that is when the electric motor simplicity will start to pay off in reliability.

But who knows- personally I love the fact that I can charge the thing overnight at 7.5p kWh and enjoy a 760 hp monster wagon without the crippling fuel bills and constant need to fill the tank so for convenience factor alone I think it's worth the risk of early adoption.

I have charge points at home and also (“free”) at office. It is so easy. When I drive my ICE vehicles, the whole faff of filling stations really grates.
