Is there no price for it?

Hi

It’s an auction so there is no fixed price.
There is a reserve price which I am not at liberty to share.

There is an option to make an offer before the auction starts.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, but I think it s a strange auction process. For a left of field car like this, no buy it now price, starting price or guide price makes it appear like a stab in the dark.

I wish you luck with it, but I think this process will lose you bids.

No worries. You make a fair and interesting point.

If you are genuinely interested, then please contact Rob via the email address provided in the listing. He may be able to help.

All the best

Hi Antony.

Can I ask about the exhaust system please? Does it have the catless manifold option or does it have a hiflow cat fitted? Does it then have the cobolt rear silencer fitted or does it have a full cat back system on it?

Sorry for the specific questions.

Cheers John

Hi John

It’s has the catted BBR manifold, a standard centre section including the standard cat and the cobalt back box.

It sounds great, without any drone or booming on the motorway.

Hope that helps

Hi Anthony,
Do you have the missing service history between around 40k and 70k miles?

Hi, good question, thanks for seeking clarity.

The car was serviced at home by the previous owner, who was a technician. It was his girlfriend’s car.

That did not put me off buying it, given the other history and condition.

I also ran a car vertical check which shows the normal progression of the mileage.

It’s since been serviced twice as recorded.

When I had the work done by BBR they also commented that the top end of the engine was very clean and had clearly been well cared for.

I hope that helps

All the best

Hi

Yes of course.

In addition, it has the MX5Things Roof Controller fitted. This allows for one touch operation of the roof, as well as allowing the roof to be operated while the car is moving up to 20mph.

Thanks

Antony, has under the car been checked for rust?
Any preventive work carried out on rust?

Hi

I searched for a long time to find a car that was solid underneath.

For those who don’t know about MX5’s rust can be a real issue as they are not well under sealed from the factory.

I would describe this one as solid, with surface rust in the usual places.

It has not had any further rust treatment in my time, and as you can see from the photos there is surface rust present, but having spent a fair amount of time under the car I can see that it is just surface rust and nothing is badly corroded.

The sub frame, pinch welds, bush mountings and other structural areas are all solid and in good nic. You can also see the mot history and there is no mention of rust in any of the annual checks.

You do see some horror shows, but this is not one of them.

Thanks

Antony

Do you have any documentation for the damage listed on the car vertical report. You ran one but didn't see it?

This car has never been damaged. At least not to my knowledge.

See attached photo of report with VIN.
