maybe the fiat forum people told him to post it here as the fiat coupé is based as a kit on the lada?

Oh the angst. My deep need to agree with you pitted against trying not to sound like an elitist snob.

And worst, knowing the last is probably engendered by the constant bombardment of PC morals.

OK, be brave - well said Ferg.

Sorry but that's the sort of rubbish someone who either hasn't owned one or has only driven an abused car would say.

Sorry, I'll pretend all the work I had to do on a mates didn't happen then, I'll go back to edit my post and say they're actually great and not offer my real opinion.

You had to do some work on one so they are all rubbish? That's a most convincing argument, you've got me now.

no, I formed an opinion on the build quality and construction while working on one, not formed the opinion because I had to work on one.

Rubbish? Someone asked for an opinion and I gave one. One of my best mates had a Sprint Blue 20vT as his daily commuter. A few bits fell off, OK many cars do that, but he had several problems with the electrics, doors not locking, immobiliser, dash lights intermitant, something went wrong with the suspension arms i recall, not sure what??? and i cost him an absolute fortune to get the cambelt done as the design of car meant it was a bd to do. Also more than once he had to use his housemates car to get to work as it wouldnt start. It was a preeety car, mind, and it certainly did not look like an abused one.

So, to reclarify, MY kitcar is better built than THAT Fiat Coupe. It always starts, nothing falls off and nothing is intermittant. And it lives outside in the rain.
