Help!
So we're getting some of the final details sorted and have run into some questions with our heating/blower unit that we could really use some help on if anybody knows....I don't know how many people (if anybody) also got this unit in their Murtaya, but it's a heater/blower/AC unit that Neil and Tom originally installed in my car. We're going to leave out the AC because of time and space constraints, but we still want to get the blower and heat hooked up...
The issue we are having is that there seems to be a capillary tube that is disconnected and we don't know where this connects to--we're assuming that it is used to feed the air temp into the system and is required even without the AC being hooked up (but obviously we're not sure). Does anybody know where this connects to, what this is used for, and if this is needed if the AC isn't being used?
Also, we're curious as to what all the three knobs are for and--if we don't have AC hooked up--if they are all still needed. Our first assumption was that the three knobs control temp, fan speed, and the output vents, but it looks like they might be heat temp, cool temp, and fan speed...
If anybody knows/remembers anything that could help answer these questions, or even the details on this unit (or even the make/model/manufacturer/etc.), it would REALLY help us figure these last few details out...
Or, if you know somebody else that might know, please let us know how to contact them-
Thanks to all who have helped along the way; it is MUCH appreciated!

I think we might have the info for the heater/ac unit....
But, as everybody knows...as soon as you close one question on this car, another few come up.
Does anybody know where we can get some more buttons like the door-release buttons? We want to add two more for the new boot and bonnet electric releases that we added and--if possible--have them match the door buttons.
Thanks again!

I can help with that Car Builder Solutions are the people you want. I have had a few things sent out to NZ, the freight is reasonable too.

Now I am worried, I have the 2 speed fan and a thermostat switch which opens a solenoid on the heater. I had thought it should work ok.......
it works but pretty pitiful,no real loss as long as you have heated windscreen if you dont wear a hat and leave window open to stop misting upmartin

I spoke to Scooby Projects who have done some very nice work on a friends P1. Will be shipping mine up there to have it rebuilt and some other bits and bobs done. Really looking forward to seeing the results!
they are fairly new company but lots of glowing reports especially in total impreza magazine so sounds promising-what engine spec are you going for?martin
