I don't see it as a problem, it's just something I bear in mind when I'm driving. Issues can easily be avoided with a bit of forward thinking, only mentioned it to answer a question. I agree it be better higher, but it isn't, and theres no more room under the bonnet.
Just measured it, 80mm.... My mistake. Looks lower than it is. The turbo r1 fury I viewed before buying mine was definitely about 40/50mm though. It would have been a nightmare anywhere other than on track without lifting the cradle.
