Petrol Tank Sender Identification Help
Discussion
This old thread on PH would suggest the tank used on the Rickman is from an Escort van/estate, doesn't say if mk1 or mk2 though but it may be worth giving the poster a nudge to ask if they remember.
The tank sender being is on the top of the tank rather than the side would confirm it's from a van/estate

Here is a Mk2 escort estate/van sender unit for sale.
Does look similar, although the top flange doesn’t appear to be the same shape.

Hi Neil, I am unsure about whether you wish for originality, but at the price for that sender I would consider an alternative, possibly even tank and sender.
I have seen this unit https://www.enginemaster.com.au/classic-instrument... which is for an adjustable sender as I presume you wish to keep the original escort gauges. however there are many tanks that could be adapted, some of which may just need a resistor to balance the control.
