With just Stoneleigh on the kit car agenda now it seems ages since I went to a show. Well actually it was May Bank holiday last year so really looking forward to this year's show. Sunday May 1st and presumably Mon 2 as well so just over two weeks. I'm soooooo excited
Oh alright, I'll calm down
I'm planning to be there in my Royale Sabre unfortunately with health issues, there'll be a for sale sign in the window. If anyo9ne wants to see what a REAL kit car's like, well actually the Sabre's not really a kit car it's a bespoke Gentleman's tourer, come and say hello.
So what are your plans for the show? What are you buying or selling or just going for the craic?

About to start an Exocet build so going to have a look and maybe pick up some parts/tools.
I am taking the family and we are planning on camping Saturday night. The advert says dogs are welcome but has anyone taken theirs before?
Trying to work out whether it will be more hassle than its worth. He is well behaved but will he be excluded from certain areas?

Can't say I've ever seen any "NO DOGS HERE" signs, but the main halls can get very crowded & people won't be looking downwards, also there's usually a Westfield / Caterham drifting area with the associated revving, tyre squealing & smoke, easy enough to keep a dog away from if that's likely to be a problem.I am taking the family and we are planning on camping Saturday night. I'll be there Sat afternoon until Mon afternoon with my (orange) FuryR1 on the JPSC pitch.
ColinM50 we're right next door to the SabreOC I think so pop over and say hello.
There's usually plenty of dogs there and no restrictions even in the halls as far as I've seen. I'm considering taking my Weim' but not sure how he'll cope in the tent... or the Fury driving down.
Roger, are you slumming it again?

Doubt I'll be going this year. With Victoria off the road until after my wedding at the end of May and a shed load of wedding stuff on the cards I don't think I can justify it to the OH. Although, having said that, I would like a nosey around a few BMW and Guzzi engined Pembletons to see how much of a job the swap is.....
Hi,
If anyone is thinking of going to the CKC seminars over the show weekend mine (at 2.00pm) is not about Electronic Ignition as erroneously published in CKC. It is about my conversion of my UVA (Beetle engine) from carbs and distributor to full EFI. A much more interesting topic altogether, honest.

I took my dog two years ago and we camped. I didn't take her into the halls but she was fine with all the other places

So there you have it from the horses mouth. Dogs allowed. In fact I might bring one, or both of my Cavaliers. Dogs, not the Vauxhall version. So if you see a nice old geezer hanging on to one or two Cavs, that'll be me
