A 917/30 was a Can-Am variant and very different in looks to the classic 'Gulf' type Le-Mans 917/K.
You're correct though it was one of the most powerful race cars ever built with 'flash' peak power of 1450bhp from a flat 12 twin turbo of around 5.3 litres although 1100 was race trim, sponsored by Sunoco and with a blue and yellow livery, wicked things.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
BMW Turbo era F1 cars produced somewhere in the region of 1300bhp in qualifying trim so probably had higher ouputs particularily as they were only 1500cc![yikes](/inc/images/yikes.gif)
