Hi
After washing my Westfield Turbo last weekend i had big problems because water had leaked into the electronics. Solved that, also cleaned all connectors because of corrosion signs, so the leaking was already longer the case. Car now runs fine again except for 1 thing. Since than i get a continuous (error?)message in my day-trip counter instead of the milage it normaly shows (see image)It appears when i pull up and reach about 10km/hour, at that moment a chime goes of once. When i come to a dead stop the chime goes off again when reaching 10km/hour. Also in reverse. The message only disappears when turning the ignition off, to reappear when starting, pull up and reach 10km/hour again.
Westfield doesn't know this error. Teh engine and electronics in my car are the same as in the Vauxhall Corsa-D VXR so i turned to a Opel dealer, but they also don't know it...
They all suspect it's a door-open message, but there are no real doors (let alone a doorswitch) in my car.
It can't be coming from my alarm because that is stand-alone and in no way connected to the instruments.
I searches Vauxhall TIS (workshop service DVD 2011) but couldn't find anything close. Vauxhall error messages don't even look like this "OPEn" message. They start with one letter and after that only numbers.
I Searched the internet, can't find anything about error messages in a day-trip counter.

I just hope someone on this forum knows this and can help me, or has connections (deep?) within Vauxhall/Opel who knows something about this. It shows so someone programmed it and must have documented it, so it must be possible to find documentation somewhere.

Hello
Thank you for all your help and suggestions so far.
I completely checked all wiring and electronics which i could reach and dried and cleaned everything.
Also checked every connector for lose or bent pins, and all wiring for shortcuts and it they where not broken, everything seems to be OK. No change so far.
I finally found one item on the internet dated 2008 from a Corsa owner who had the same problem, sent him a privat message if and how he solved it. Just hope his emailaddress is still valid.
I emailed Vauxhall if they knew something about this message, answer, they cant help me because the info i supplied wasn't enough for tech to diagnose.
So next week i will have an Opel dealer checking the car wich diagnostics to read out my computer and see if they can (re)set something to get rid of this message.
The Corsa user manual confirmed me that this warning message (including 1 time chime) really is related to a door being open when starting of (forward or reverse), i found it in the paragraph describing warning messages.
It also explaines why i get these new additional warnings when my headlights are still on or the key is in the ignition after turning it off. These warnings seem only to occur only when a door is open(ed) to warn the driver.
So now i know what is causing it the challenge is (for Opel) to find how to get rid of it.
At least it's no serious problem to worrie about, it's only inconvenient.
Will keep you posted !

Hello
Nothing wrong with instruments, wiring and no contactproblems.
Everything is very very dry, also no shortcuts or cut connections.
Conclusion: the BCM (programm or hardware) is corrupted.
I made an appointment to reprogamm it, and if that doesn't work to replace it.
Hopefully reprogramming does the job...
