Sussing out coilover length
Discussion
Hello
I'm in need of a set of coilovers for my car.
Chassis is currently set at full weight completed car ride level.
Therefore i can measure the length the shocks would be in the final configuration.
But that said, how do i work out the actual length of the shocks and springs needed ?
I'm going to use Gaz components seeing that they are affordable and good.
Do i use the current measure (around 11 inches) and use that as the central reference seeing that Gaz coilovers mostly seem tohave 4 inch travel ?
How about spring length ?
Thanks

So that would mean approximately that with a shock length at rest on the car of 11 inches, i would need a shock with 12 inch full open and 8 inch full closed length ?
I had seen protechs website once via a google search i will give them a ring
