I intend to eventually launch my car project as a kit.
Bear in mind this is in a unfinished state just wheeled outside for viewing......

Comments welcome, but at least a vote from 1 to 10 would be nice...1 = awful, 10 = wonderful...

Go on be brutal if you want...

Cheers Mikey, I like the Audi too...very nice....biggest issue is keeping the headlights at a legal height.......Oh BTW, what was your mark out of ten?

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Keith, comments duly noted. The front is actually riding about 1 inch too high which doesn't help the look....but this is all useful to me and much appreciated...cheers..

I'm planning on using 4 of the 90mm Hella units...mounted as high as possible to be legal....

Thanks, for the continuing feedback.....

Bloody good job overall though, at least a 7/10.

As if it could snap kind of weak....I know what you mean....and the multi colours in that area don't help either...

All good stuff...thanks guys....

I think the other peoples comments are right, where the front wheel arch joins the rest of the body it is too low against the side. I personally would keep it in line with the rest of the body and smooth out some of the straight edges. (i know this would make it more difficult to get in/out of, but looks generally sell a car)

Good idea to get opinions, we may be future customers!

Thanks, I wish I could cash in the effort points... trouble is in reality effort counts for nothing...only looks....once I get people interested in the looks the rest is "fairly" easy by comparison...you are dead right these opinions DO matter....just have to get enough of them, then if 90% pick on some feature to change it would be very foolish to ignore them....

It's not entirely 'late' - it lives on as the Leading Edge RT something or other IIRC.
I might have a view on the car (as with so much else)...but I can't see the pictures

If you look at the bottom of...

the pics are there too....cheers

Thanks Rob, you are right about the rear. It will have some vent/grilles exhaust cutouts etc....even a diffuser if I can fit one in...

Again, good feedback, cheers..

Thanks guys for everything so far...very constructive.
Some of it is in agreement, yet some of it clashes...which is what I would have expected I guess..

I'll try to please as many as possible without changing stuff that is already liked...Hmmm?...sounds like an a "blandifying" exercise..

Anyway, to answer a few points:

Mr2Mike - wheel arch is fine..I am English after all..

Paul V - Yes, there will be a small screen...should affect the overall look quite a lot...and yes there are features planned for the rear to break it up..

AndySA - You are right, it is lights that determine the space ahead of the wheel..in reality it is very much minimised....I'll just have see what I can do so that it LOOKS that way....

Gadgit - Bonnet style: Actually this current one can be trimmed to achieve the original concept, the fill in pieces were added because of wet roads and spray, although I like the though of exposing the suspension....a "seven" tribute I guess..
(just gone to view F40) (erm, model that is....I assume everyone has one...)
Ok, I see what you mean....that would be easy, just enlarging the opening..I'd lose my returns, but would easy to do...I'll try it in paintshop first I think....

Everyone - Again thanks...

BCA, thanks. Funnny thing is I do kind of agree about the sharpness (although the harsh lighting makes it look worse), and it does seem we are in the minority as the sharpness does appeal to most....as you say I don't want to spend time changing something that most like...

Keep 'em coming......

Thanks, I agree about wheels and things....I could hardly have shown it in a worse way really, so the comments so far have been especially pleasing...getting the first prototype is the hard part, making improvements is easy...especially with constructive feedback

Good luck with your project too....it's hard work, but fun...
