Forgot to ad that htp's are only allowed for certain date restrictions, ie, cars registered before 1965 and so on.
The only reason that the Griffs were granted papers is becase of a photograph that had (allegedly) been taken of a car competing at Brands in (alleged) 1965.It was partially hidden by the known E-Type that was just in front of it, it was assumed to have been an "international" event because of the Jag being there.

I'm racing my M under the danish FIA organisation, but not with a FIA homologation. In dk can we get an "local approval" if the car can be documented to have raced at it's time, and is close enough to original spec's so the MOT will approve the car as "not being modified more than MOT rules at the first reg of the car"
The plan was to get a "one of" homologation of the car, in that way can the specific car join international events, but it seems like they never done that king of papers before, so it's going very slow with that case.

From reading lot of blurb....it would appear that the Fia have lifted the year restriction to 1980 now for HTP. However I would ove to know anyone has any information of the M's participating in an event in the period with other FIA cars.
I feel quite strong that we should try to get our cars recognised with FIA so we can do international events with them.
Please post links articles or info you have that might help the group gain some creditability with the FIA and also it will add value to our cars too.

Ok I think we need a photo evidence of any of them racing in period.....I am going to apply for both MSA and FIA HTP guessing the later will take a while
The papers the MSA are responsible for are FIA HTP.I wish you luck with this one. (Took me four years to get them on an HRG complete with full documented photographic history!) Gassing Station | TVR Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
