Well i have also fitted Austin Mini Headlamp Units which have a Pilot/Side Light.
So when i drive just with Side Lights i can be seen easier.😨

I am not into incorporating lighting which is not required.. Cars built prior to 86 in UK don't need them.. It isn't hard to get a car fully off the road in the event of a breakdown.. In my mind it is just a load more connections and wiring not required I can't really think of any time in the last 20 years when I have used them on any car.

...best plan your routes avoiding 'smart' motorways then... (or anywhere else that is hazardous in ways undreamt of 35 years ago)
