3000s fuel tank
Discussion
i imagine that i will be able to remove the tank from Inside the boot. i haven't picked the car up yet but the present owner tells me there are problem with dirt in the fuel. i think it's a case of giving the tank a good clean out. Then put a big filter inline that can be cleaned easily. Maybe Filter King with glass bowl.
I Wonder what the carb is for the V6 engine or were several different models used

hi Andrew,
the East Grinstead 3000S now lives in France and sleeps in my garage, i'm looking forward to driving it in Brittany. Just a few jobs to do first. It has already visited France in the past and gone round the Le Mans circuit.
I think i will be asking a few questions to help me get it running well if nobody minds

Pretty sure it is the same, though I believe turbos had extra baffles to prevent fuel surge while cornering at 140mph...
Oliver.
Not unless you have one of my trick tanks in it! the turbo's ran a standard early tank with a side outlet...(the early cars were side outlet, the later cars were top outlet).Oliver.

hi Andrew,
i checked out the outriggers before buying and they look solid. The first thing is to give it a good clean, it is so very dirty.
The outriggers are not the biggest issue its the area above the diff that's more of a problem on the M series due to the felt that the body sits on fingers crossed its ok however at the price the car was you could factor in a new chassis and a full re trim and engine refresh and still be well below what other 3000s are being advertised ati checked out the outriggers before buying and they look solid.
