HAZARD WARNING M series

Since i have had my 1976 3000M the Hazard Warning hasn't worked.
When i switch it on only the Light comes on at the Dashboard and stays on.
I have looked at the back of the switch and only 4 of the 6 Pole Connections have been used.
Surely all 6 should be used.
For me the 4 grouped together should be for: a.) live feed from Hazard Flasher Unit. b.) warning Light in Dashboard. c.) Right Indicateurs green/white. d.) Left Indicateurs green/red.
The other 2 pole connecters should split the suppy wire between the Indicator Switch on the Steering Column and the Normal Indicator Flasher Unit.
As i understand when the Hazard Switch is OFF the 2 pole conncters are closed Circuit so the normal Indicators can function. When ON open Circuit to stop Normal Indicators being powered the same time as Hazard.
When Hazard ON the 4 Poles are all LIVE for Hazard Flashers to function.
Could someone help please i'm not good at Auto Electrics.

for the info, i'm learning all the time.
Does the 3000M also just use 1 Flasher Unit or 2.
I can only find 1 Flasher Unit on my 1976 3000M.
But on my 1978 3000S it has 2 Flasher Units.
Surely not using Terminals 5 and 6 would mean the Normal Indicators are not disabled when the Hazard Switch is ON.
Maybe i'm missing something but it's difficult for me to follow the Wiring logic only using 1,2,3,4 Terminals.

Mums the word my lips are sealed.
I just need to wait for the delivery of a Flasher Unit and Shrink Sleeve. So i can once again dive into the Bird's Nest and Can of Worms behind the Switch Panel.
I hope i don't get any nasty Smoke Signals.

I've just had another look for the Hazard Warning Flasher Unit and found it. Screwed on back of Dashboard between the Rev counter and Speedo. No alloy case on it and in bad condition. A pig of a job to get at. I just need to wait for new Flasher Unit to arrive.
I have found the bullet connector on Steering Column that feeds the Indicator Stalk (green/brown)

Well the Hazard Flasher Unit arrived in the post today. I have plugged it in and the Hazards work correctly BUT only with the Ignition and Indicators in off position.
So i've ordered some Cable Light Green/Brown to do the job correctly.
Why for the sake of 1 metre of Light Green/Brown Cable TVR never did the job correctly is beyond me. You don't need to be a Blackpool Rocket Scientist surely

To finish the blog,
i have wired in the 2 connections (on hazard switch) never used by TVR on "M" series using light green/brown wire.
This cuts the Indicators Circuit when Hazard Warning is switched on. This is correct Auto Electrics practice but in TVRs wisdom they never did.
I hope this helps other TVR "M" series owners so they can correct this TVR oversight.

You have much more knowledge than me on TVRs.
If i only connect the 4 connections as original and not use the other 2 a strange thing happens.
Hazard ON and Ignition ON and Indicator ON,
I get the Hazard Warning flashing and the Indicator Warning flashing at the same time.
Seems strange to me. Maybe i need to check the Wiring on both Dash Warning Lights.
Surely when the Hazard Switch is ON it should disable the Indicator Switch like Penelope's diagram.
I must be doing something wrong.

ps. the Hazard Warning switch is the same as MGB Hazard Warning which can be sourced new in USA

Well i have also fitted Austin Mini Headlamp Units which have a Pilot/Side Light.
So when i drive just with Side Lights i can be seen easier.😨
