Hello Chaps,
Just had a meet with Geoff Gwynne about the above event that will be held on Sunday 20th August this year.
I volunteered my services on the day and to handle the pistonheads side of things.
So just to let you know........
The venue will be at the Crich Tramway Village, Derbyshire. Website here: www.tramway.co.uk
The admission is £8 for the "Pre 80" cars per person and £0 for the driver of "Pre 65" cars (Passengers will have to pay £8)
The entrance deal is for TVRCC members and daily membership is available for £5 on request otherwise this is a free of charge TVRCC event.
"Pre 80" and "Pre 65" cars will have designated parking within the village area.
All other TVR models are welcome to attend and will have secure parking (Gated and fenced)
There is plenty to see and do once inside the complex: pub, restaurants, cafe, museums.
The day is going to start early with a time to be announced.
There will be a Concours event judged by owners with details on entrance to follow.
There will be great photo opportunities with the Blackpool trams that will hopefully be running on the day.
This will be an informal meeting of like-minded friends enjoying their cars.
We hope you can make the event.

Just to add I have it on good authority that Martin Lilley and Mike Bigland are going to attend......How cool is that!

Any questions please mail me........

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THIS EVENT HAPPENS NEXT WEEK (SUNDAY 20TH AUGUST)

For those that require accommodation:
Travelling from the West Ashbourne is a really nice village with good pubs and grub.
Travelling up from the south then Nottingham and Derby have quality accommodation to offer
Travelling down from the North then Matlock/Matlock Bath would be a good choice with excellent pubs and restaurants.
There is a Travelodge about 8 miles from the event that may be able to accommodate you all if you fancy a few beers and a chat Saturday night.
Here are a couple of links to help you...
Cheers,
Supes.

Hi Glyn...can I book a car in please.....not sure which one yet....or which ones, thinking about, anything that I can do to help, give me a call.
Adrian

Adrian, It would be a pleasure to have you turn up with some literature (Company profile/current pricelist stuff) to hand out or even a selection of "brightwork" for sale. I'm sure many people would have lots of questions regarding mainetance/modifications for you to answer!
Thanks,
Glyn.

Glyn,

sorry I missed you at Houx - rather pre-occupied on my Stag weekend. Did notice the sign-writing.

Mike Thompson's coming up from the South West with his V8 Grantura...
Been to the Tramway museum to finalise a few things with Geoff and all is looking good.
The pub serves real ale at £2 a pint and the on-site restaurant is excellent.

Glyn,
What's the score with post 80's? Have we a segregated parking area, what will it cost us?
Plan is to come up to see you around 10 and leave 12 ish to get to the Chimfest (which the Griffs are invading).
See you up there. Taimar well dead so will be in one of the Griffs.
FFG

The car park is very secure with on-site staff watching over, also there is an area set aside for post 80's cars.
£16 for car club members or a tenner each on the museum entrance.
See you there matey.

What I was told

" If you are bringing a pre 80's TVR, you will have to become a TVR Car Club day member at the modest cost of £5, plus £8 per person entry fee. Otherwise the site is open to the public at a cost of £10 per head."

I don't get why we have to be a member of the club to bring our car in?

Maybe something to do with insurance.

Don't bring your TVR and save money

It's only a pound; I will be there.

Edited by stigproducts on Tuesday 15th August 15:15

Stig, you are quite right about the insurance issue...can't get round it I'm afraid.

Just to add the Museum is worth the entrance fee alone.
