I was thinking of buying a 1600m any advise would be welcome and does anyone know of any good examples for sale.

Aidrian, not that bothered about outright performance,wanted something in good nick easy to maintain and a pleasure to drive-open minded at the moment 1600m seemed like a good idea, in theory.

Whats its history?

What sort of condition is the car in re body/paint chassis/running gear and engine?

I have always liked the smooth M shape I think the chassis was an improvement from the vixen in terms of strength and running gear.The price of petrol is never coming down and with greenies trying to tax large inefficient engines I thougth I would start looking at a 1600(open minded thougth).

Gone and done it,impulse got the better of me and I bought a Taimar instead.Thanks for all the advice and opinions.

look in the classified area for some pictures,the white/brown stripe in Scarborough,not yet concours but a good start!!
