GLASS ROOF FOR M SERIES

I have a 78 Taimar.
Please is anyone aware of the glass roof TVR used for their M series cars? Is it the same unit as used on Vixens and the other older ones? What is the donor vehicle?
Does anyone have one on their car? Any pros/cons to fitting and using one?
Need new sunroof but not really wanting to replace vinyl slideback with a new vinyl slideback.

Thanks very much Grant, Matt and Adrian. I can understand the flat roof problem, the fabric roofs do flow better. For practicality I think glass is still the way I want to go as my fabric roof is unusable and I have a piece of plastic shoehorned into the original aperture channels and it drips badly on the passenger seat, just need to find a proper glass one now.
