Under "TVR Stuff & Gossip" there is a new topic about the Gumball. The piccies are good.

What is this with DKNY as a sponsor?

Haven't been able to access any piccies, Diesel.

Hope your Tuscan is doing just great, though.

I have been looking into importing a Tuscan to th US for a while. I have a few aquaintances that have imported Lotus Elises by disassembling them in the UK, ship them in separate crates to the US. Then assembling the cars and register them as kit cars. I have heard there are a lot of traps you can fall into, but it is possible to go this way. does anybody have any feedback ?????

I would order one!

My biggest concern is parts supply.

jhybinette -> why would you have to dissemble it?
Can't you just import it directly?

To answer the question: You can not import TVR's directly into the USA because the car has not been certified for emissions and safety (airbags, bumpers, etc.). If the TVR is more than 25 years old, no problem.
You can bring in any car in component form. The car would still need to pass emissions, though (not a problem if you live in a rural area). This usually means separating the engine /transmission from the car.

Sean, did anyone else drive your Tuscan while it was in the US? Any auto journo's?

Where are your pictures?

Great piccies, Sean.

Did any US Auto journos try and drive the Tuscan?

How did the Tuscan do?

Maybe Petrolted should do an article about your TVR in the Gumball?

Hey Sean, did any US magazines inquire about your TVR? Any mags try and drive it? Any press from the mainstream of life?

Hey what about the T350 and Tamora?

TVR should be spending their $$ on successfully re-entering the USA market not LeMans. Let the privateers spend their money at LeMans!

No Tuscans in the US. Probably because GM or Chrysler paid PW 20 million not to import viable competition for the Z06 or Viper. A couple of years ago, Celis Brewery out of Austin Texas was approached by Miller Brewing Company who offered a tidy sum to buy the company. Celis was big business in Texas, and was essentially cutting into Millers sales. Unfortunately the company accepted, Miller purchased the company, and in turn completely shut down the company, and there went a very nice brew that was light-years ahead in terms of quality brewing and taste.

If the company isn't in business anymore, someone should start up a new brewery and produce an identical product. They could even hire some of the old company's key staff as consultants. That'll show Miller that there are more important (and powerful) things that money.

So do we believe that the Tuscan that sold for $140,000 is real?
Do we get our hopes up over the latest Warner Brothers Looney Tunes flick featuring a Tuscan S?
Where is Faisal? What does he think?
