Well Ben Was In Sebring the other week with a lhd Tuscan running on Ohio MFG plates...

the car is in the us for a year, and currently residing at a uk dealers florida holiday home !!!

When i spoke to Ben he said that it would probably 18months 2 years before anything happend.

But the fact that they have shipped a car over must be a good sign.

even if every one kept asking if it was a Triumph or owned by rover <spit>

There are some pics of this car in another thread.

It would be wierd but I think I would rather have a rhd TVR here. Just because I grew up looking at the pics and movies of them, not all brit cars but just TVR's, so rhd to me is part of what makes it a TVR. If i had one that was lhd, yah it would be easier to drive, but it just wouldn't feel the same, like the TVR's I know. Plus that just makes it even more different.

Going back to the original post it almost sounds like we could be talking about 2 different things. Maybe TVR is working WITH Amerispec but I see TVR getting here two possible ways.

1.) TVR UK purposely makes a federal version.

or

2.) Amerispec provides people the service of converting their personal cars legally. (This would have nothing to do with TVR UK)

As always it would help if we could somehow unite and organize together to fight the NHTSA's ultra strict rules. It's a shame none of the US so called enthusiest maginzines don't encourage this. (some say they are in bed with US industry)

Not if I get there first, Mara!

Perhaps TVR plan an initial annual run of special Tuscans: 20 east coast - Florida, 20 west coast - California?

Oi! I sense you know a little more than you are letting on. That perhaps and the following statement seem a little too confident. What do you know? Come on. Confess. Confess I tell you!!!

Still, would be interesting to see what changes they will have to make to the car to get it in. A dealer would be great for me too.

RHD for me though. It will come in very handy when I want a quiet word in the ears of some of the appauling drivers that try to run me off the road everyday.
