Rare $3.4million Ferrari crashed at Snetterton
Discussion
The drivers on the 'Rush' set are all contracted to 'Driving Wizards' run by Nikki Faulkner. The production company are being very cagey about the identity of the driver.

Doesn't look too badly damaged.
If you are going to crash a rare F1 Ferrari - do it this way -

Niki Faulkner. Not Nikki.http://jalopnik.com/5906664/who-crashed-a-34-milli...
Edited to add, I don't believe all the drivers are contracted through Niki either.
Would you like me to ring him and ask him?

Meh. It will be fixed, it's not like it is the first time the car has been damaged.
Quite.A week is a lifetime for a repair in racing terms. Some of the old boys still working on real race cars ( ) have the skills etc to see this right for Monaco.
Will Howard be filming at Monaco too?

They'd have to make some drastic changes to the background scenery to make it look like 1976.
But the track shape is pretty much (give or take the chicane aftyer the tunnel and reprofiling St Devote) the same lay out as it changed to in 1973.The yachts in the harbour were also quite different back then and some of the older buildings have been replaced.
I'm sure they could do a lot of that with CGI but the look of the place has changed quite a bit since 1976.

They'd have to change all the advertising, the dress sense of the crowd, take away all the chain link debris fencing and most of the kerbing along the footpaths.

The CGI is at such a level these days, it's eminently doable. If you've ever seen the behind the scenes doc on the making of Gareth Edwards Monsters feature film (he has a speciality on inserting road signs and backgrounds into his shots) that were not there, done on a (admittedly powerful) home PC, with a studio budget, I don't think Howard would have taken the gig on without thinking this all through. The yachts in the harbour were also quite different back then and some of the older buildings have been replaced.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

It's in the Sunday Times now. Not much point to trying to hide it now.
