Seriously what would you do

Mosley has already said publically, if Alonso gets unfairly treated by Mclaren will have to answer to the FIA

Alonso is without doubt is a little spoilt shit - toys pram etc and I'm 100% sure Alonso's involvement was totally premeditated. De la Rosa had wanted Lewis's seat - Alonso wanted De Le Rosa but instead they got Lewis - and oh dear a rookie was kicking his arse. We all know about the threats and blackmail etc

So what does Ron do

For me he should put the full weight behind Lewis
Will Alonso try and remove himself from the contract - Jenson paid williams $30 million to stay with Honda - so perhaps $50 milllion for Alonso ?

So perhaps the best would be to lety Alonso go for the right price
I can't imagine anyone at Mclaren wants him to stay
The only issue is loosing Satander

Surely Alonso's contract would have a clause mentioning instant dismissal for gross misconduct. Attempting to blackmail your boss and getting caught cheating could reasonably be called gross misconduct couldn't they?

If I were RD then Alonso's feet wouldn't have touched the floor on the way out.

Exactly, I thought he could be dismissed, but again he is an awesome driver. But is he worth all the trouble they have endured due to the cheating and the stuff with Hamilton?

With all that Ferrari information that Alonso has collected over the past 2-3months, no wonder he has had the edge over Lewis in the past races !
He even had the cheek to tell us all that he alone brought 5-6 10ths to the team...if its true now we know were from...WTF !

Ron should seek to sack him no doubt about it, he has gone from hero to zero this year...toys out of the pram etc etc.

Ron does not need Alonso with Lewis.....

MOVE HIM ON ASAP.

Also dodgy move by Alonso at the start of Spa.

I wouldn't kick him out, I'd put him on 'gardening leave' and make him sit out his contract and the whole of next year (and the rest of this seasonwink) without a drive......

yep - I'll do the same - ideal situation - stick him out in the cold for a year

I think although Ron would be perfectly entitled to kick Alonso out on his ear, the problem he has with making him seee out his contract on the sidelines is that it's perceived that Mclaren have "damaged" F1 with the spy row, and to put the sport's current double world champion on gardening leave for whatever reason would probably backfire on Mclaren as much as anyone

If I were a McL shareholder I'd be wondering whatever possessed RD to make the $100m call.

because if he didnt and things would have gone as they have the punishment would have been ten times worse, and he also saves his integrity.

and what would i do with alonso, as has been said, race transporter driver........

I just think RD was mad to precipitate this level of scrutiny. Surely against the interests of the shareholders.

McL supporter btw.

I'd attempt to place Alonso into an uncompetitive, but wealthy team - Toyota, Honda (possibly a transfer for Button?) or Renault.

Hopefully any money received could go towards the FIA's fine.

I suspect Alonso's aim now is to secure the Number 1 for his car for 2008 and take it across to his old mucker Flav at Renault.

I cannot believe that RD will let Alonso pull one over him long term, it is going to be in Mclaren's interest to get Lewis the title rather than Alonso? Dodgy pitstop, bad fuel, wrong tyre pressures... so many things that could be done if needed to 'help' Lewis.

I do not think Alonso will be driving for Mclaren next year. If so where would he go? Toyota ? Would Briatore have the Spaniard back ?

How little self respect do you think LH has?

Obviously you feel RD will be happy to cheat, even though he's just agreed to pay $100m to state the contrary.

C’mon, give Alonso a break. Before the FIA released the info, everyone was whining about Ferrari. Saying they were making it all up to try and get their own way. It turned out they were right all along.

Now it’s Alonso is getting all the grief. What about the engineers who used all the ill-gotten info? What’s going to happen to them?

I don’t believe for 1 second that Ron didn’t know what was going on. He knew, and sanctioned the use of the info – like everyone who goes around committing crimes; he didn’t think he’d get caught. Now it’s all come out he’s feeding more lies to the press to try and save his integrity. It’s a joke. Personally, I hope this is the beginning of the end for Ron and his team. F1 will be a better place without the bunch of cheating tts.

What make you think that McLaren F1 has any shareholders that have a voice?
