Just got given some Paddock tickets for all of this weekend at WTCC, does anyone know if that the standard admission, or sometime on top?

Thought it was cracking day - some good racing and a winning Brit!

I also thought that Colin Turkington did very well.

Anyone else go?

I did'nt go. Watched it on TV though.

Does anyone else think Menu was dealt with unfairly in the second race?
He should'nt have been penalised for the incident with the BMW driver under the SC IMHO.

He did'nt overtake or cause the accident. Its not illegal to be alongside another car which is all he did. The BMW driver turned across the front of him when he was half a car length up (quite obvious in the mirrors I'm sure!)

Me biggrin

Hightlights for me were the F430's in the GT races - they sounded great & Richard Chamberlains 935 clone in the Porsche Open race (I only caught the first lap because the family had had enough by then - but it's an awesome car)

The other 935 was even better ticehurst? that had to start from the pit lane, spitting huge flames out of the exhaust going in to druids down graham hill and into graham hill bend.

A good 2 day meeting, although i thought the promotion was ineffective- even enthusiasts do not know what some of the races were!
International Formula Masters!
International GT Open! - Bill as a duel between Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Dodge Vipers and Joe Public might just get their wallets outs out and book on line.

Biggest lost opportunity of the meeting was no big screen TV, poor for a world class event.

I had an excellent Sunday, missed Saturday due to competing in the VXR racing driver of the year semi finals. I'm just in the process of uploading all my photos. I'd heard of both Formula masters and the GT open having seen coverage of the other races on Eurosport all year.

Excellent drives by Colin Turkington in the main event and brilliant to see Andy Priaulx finally getting his home win after last seasons mistake.

Agree, Farfus was out wide and cut back causing the incident himself. Farfus has a history of being involved in too many accidents he was always at it when he drove for Alfa Romeo, I can't stand him and I laughed when he he stomped back to the pits in the knowledge that Andy would now have a big championship lead over him.

No photos I'm afraid but full marks on your driving - your sideways passage around Paddock Hill bend was very impressive!

HGTCC site has a couple of your Mini up there now. It was most entertaining smile

I am looking for pics of the Anglia driving past 2 waved blue flags on the Saturday, staying to the left, waiting till my dad was alongside him (no. 78 Aston) and then turning in on him to ruin his race and cause the crash that got it red flagged.

Am I bitter....hell yeah rofl

Edited to remove my actual thoughts as they would probably break some code of conduct on the forum wink

I was there on sunday, was a great day for racing.

If that second 935 hadn't of had to start from the pits there would of been a great battle for first as lap after lap their positions in relation to each other were near enough identical

And Guru 1071, your sideways corner antics made our daybiggrin

Cheers JD

Did anyone see / notice the lime green / yellow MG (think was number 69) in the historic race after the WTCC. He came from near the back of the Grid up to about 5th before the pitstop where the driver (??) handed over to his dad.

The son was mega quick - he overtook 3 cars into paddock one lap and was sideways coming through clearways onto the straight! His dad wasn't as quick or spectacluar and ended up in the gravel at clearways with 5 mins left of the race - a great shame.

I'd love to find out more about that car as it was stupidly quick!
