Record Breaking Ladies Required

Fancy 200mph in an F1 car?!

Anita Knight of RecordBreakers.co.uk is looking for three plucky ladies to join the team of people attempting a rather bizarre world record.

She plans to smash the current record for driving blindfolded by 50mph (currently 144.7mph) and take it to over 200mph.

The project also aims to raise money for British Blind Sport, a charity which provides sporting facilities to the blind.

I say nothing about driving by ladies . . .

Isn't blindfold the usual female driving technique? tee hee Or is it just that I find it easier to blindfold myself when women are driving and i'm a passenger?

(The 2x4's are in the corner ladies, I promise not to sue...)

Looking for women ? That's sexist !!

If I demanded a male-only co-driver there would be an uproar from the twitchy PC brigade.

If you raise the minimum amount of sponsorship, your challenge will be FREE.

And how much would that be ?

Also challenge will be FREE, nowhere does it say the training will be free.

well all my paperwork came through the post this morning - how excied am I???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks really good...fingers crossed I can get sponsorship etc (though that shouldnt a problem and frankly I'll pay it if not!)

Gary - sorry to be at all cynical, but it is just such a great opportunity and almost seems too good!

I spoke to my ex about it this morning and he said be careful it's not a scam.
I got my blurb to-day...and was a little concerned that we might have to pay the full £3700 ourselves if we couldn't find the sponsership.
It all seems very rushed to me....and I'm surprised that we have to send the £200 registration fee before we get confirmation of the photo shoot....which I think is for Wednesday. I'd have thought we could just have turned up at the venue with our forms signed and cheque....especially when there's supposed to be 10 of us there all to-gether....

Ok, I've done a bit of digging...

Stuff removed as I no longer have concerns about what I found.

My wife works for record breakers and the agreement states clearly that all sponsorship funds are paid direct to the registered charity. How can that be a scam?

I am also doing the challenge, I have been in lots of papers and met the F1 training team. I would recommend them to anyone.

If it's legit then fine, we can all carry on as intended. I think it only right that I seek reassurances however.
