Why do they schedule race weekends to coincide with f1.
Because there is only so many weekends in a year so some dates will clash.Good first race interesting battles throughout the field gutted for smith but good race for the Hondas/ adam morgan, cook/goff/ingram all in the top 10.
Plato on pole for the next race think he will do well.

Matt Neal just drove through Josh Cook :S
Feel for Morgan, had this race won, hopefully this SC wont ruin his race.

Yep thought that just pushed him straight off hope he gets a penality for that.
Brilliant race for morgan controlled it throughout and deserved the win. Great race between neal and plato very respectful from both drivers.
Very clean weekend apart from a certain driver.

I always wondered as they were using the MG ZS, Integra Type-R and Vectra for such a long time.
That's old specs cars before ngtc became the single rule set.Golf could be used but would need arches to comply with the rules.
What a shambles the infiniti team are wont be surprised to see them not finish the year but tbh never understand why the manufacture supported them in the first place seems a very strange set up.
Another team I cant see surviving are the protons too.
Great work to get the car back out on track in such a short time. Will be missing this weekends racing so will catch up later on during the week. Hopefully the action is much better than last year.
Oh and for people watching on tv there is interrupted coverage of the 2nd btcc race I think and the support races due to tennis.

Btcc arrives at croft for the next 3 races before the summer break. Nick Hamilton will make his debut this weekend with the amd run audi s3.
Will bmw mount a challenge at there favourite circuit to gain back some points after a poor outing at oulton park.
Plato will be full with ballest for the first race so will be interesting to see how he gets on with that.

Interesting how people perceive this "guest driver" thing? All the money the real teams pour into making sure they keep to the terms of their TOCA licence, to agree to make sure they have funding to appear at every meet, but a "guest driver" can pick and choose?MG CHRIS said:

Really? He's already proved without any shadow of a doubt that full ballast means little to his abilities.fatboy69 said:
Not having watched the coverage from Croft what did Plato do?
He started from the pit lane to get a chance of clear air to get further up the grid for race 2 clever move I thought. Gets the soft tyre out of the way and get a better start place for race 2. The chances of being caught up with an incident starting 12th is high so the risk of being knocked out of race 1 than starting at the back of race 2. He sacrificed race one for a better race 2 and 3 plato knows how to use the rules to his advantage which is why hes on the top of the stats for all time btcc.
Good battles throughout the field aron smith in contact again with cook a bit not needed tbh. Great result for bmw with a 1-2-3 and praiulx with his first win in the btcc since 2002.

Just get out there and race Plato, FFS.
Normally cheer him on, but tbh glad he didnt get pole for race 2. Very strange decision. Good driver in a good car, surely he would have got some points and moved up the grid.
Strange no clever yes why risk a non finish in race 1 and a bad starting grid for race 2 instead of no points in race 1 and a good starting grid for race 2. The year its all about scoring the most points consistently ever weekend and plato has yet again found the best way hence why hes leading the standing.
