It seems there was a simple reason for Cammish's brake failure, someone may have left a cover in the brake ducts from the wetter conditions early on, apparently.
That makes sense. The commentators were commenting that his front brake discs were glowing red, and they felt that there was something amiss.Sebring440 said:

I thought I heard them mention his left foot braking being the cause of his always glowing brakes?
A lot of us double pedal it to lock the diff in certain circumstances, I was in Race 3, but Brands GP isn’t a hard circuit on brakes in my experienceOulton is usually the biggest problem for everyone, and a few other tracks can be on the limit depending on conditions
I should highlight that I am conflicted as I work for a rival brake manufacturer

Are the brakes no longer a control part then?Oulton is usually the biggest problem for everyone, and a few other tracks can be on the limit depending on conditions

Some excuses in there from cammish and why shouldn’t anyone in a racing position let anyone through

In fairness in the ITV interview it didn't come across like it does in that article and i guess if you had been so close to wining the championship you wouldn't be in the best frame of mind having a TV camera shoved in your face.
Very true but still amazed that he half expected Wookie to just move out of the way. Kind of reminiscent of Alonso in 2010 at Abu Dhabi. The individual results that high up in a weekend mean a lot to me and to my guys in what has been a difficult year. Plus BTCC is massively unpredictable, you never know what might turn into an independents win or even a podium.
Turks’ engineer came and shook my hand afterwards and thanked me for a clean and fair race which I really appreciated. That’s what I do my best to give, particularly to the guys who race fairly with me.
I think that’s all I can say really!

That's the thing with Turkington, he seems to wait and make a fair move, it looked like in race 3 he caught you at druids and just gave you a nudge, rather than take advantage he held back and had another go later, i'm sure not many others on the grid one have done that. Considering the speeds and the differences between cars to drive at what looks like less than 500mm apart accelerating and braking without hitting each other takes some doing. I think that’s all I can say really!
Oh and its nice to see Turks's engineer has the same principles as his driver.
