How many people actually know? Look at the home page of Autosport - you'll be lucky to find anything regards rallying; I presume they've almost given up since recent departures.

Unfortunately, it has just been announced that the North West Stages has been cancelled.

Really feel sorry for the organising committee who have put a lot of effort in to organising this event.

I fear a lot of events will be cancelled, rather than postponed. It's 'easier' for circuit events to re-arrange events, than rallies who usually only have the choice of one particular date. And many clubs are going to suffer....

The problem with rescheduling is fitting it in with other events. There is a limit to the number of medics, recovery and rescue units available. Moving everything to the end of the year, will put a lot of strain on all the volunteers.

Not just those listed above, even the basic foot marshal will be affected, I'm due to do Caerwent next weekend, it'll be the first event I can make with my work/life commitments since Rally GB, and very likely the only one until summertime.

The next issue then is schedule clashes meaning these officials have to chose between events, likely causing disruption to the other for probability of cancelling stages at least due to not being able to safely man it. the whole thing is causing a massive impact already and some events and clubs simply wont survive it.
If I were a club with an event scheduled this side of summer I'd be looking to pull the plug now before all the monies have been paid out to insurance, MSUK, printers, goodies etc etc.

Sad to see Lappi's Fiesta burning down at the end of the last stage. And worrying to hear the M-sport boss talk about the budget being tight to continue for the rest of the year.

Just as well Tanaks motor is holding up at the moment as the other 2 aren’t having much luck, sad about Lappi’s BBQ following a good run

Apparently Lappi's Fiesta had done 4 events, and was a new build for Evans in GB!

It's been confirmed by the TV chopper crew that Neuville missed the dog, and it was seen running around afterwards! Shame the car let Thierry down later, as he was going well given his road position.

Real shame, but fairly surprised that they managed to do any of the event. With Argentina being dropped already there’s now a two month gap until the next scheduled event. Fingers crossed that’s enough time. And i suppose that it being in Europe (Portugal) helps with logistics.
