Lewis blamed himself entirely for the setup change, he had an issue and thought he could fix it with a change, he was wrong. I think I'm right in saying its one of his worst qualifying performances ?
Don't remember him ever being that far off through fault of his own, so yeah, I'd agree with you there. FloppyRaccoon said:
I don't think comparing qualifying performances is where you're going to win the argument. I rate them both very highly, but qualifying tends to be stronger for Hamilton.
To be honest I am not really into the whole Lewis is better or Button is better argument. Overall, my personal view is Lewis is quicker but the issue is, on days like today, when he needs to get it right, it doesn't happen and that's why his results don't bear out his talent. It was hugely important that he qualified well today, but he's in trouble now.Frankly if he'd set the car up blind folded he'd have done better than 9th.

What I don't get is it is a two car team, was hamiltons set up so far away from buttons that it left him 1 second adrift, yes it was. I'd say the team should at least monitor what each car set up is and advise the race engineers they are poles apart and not helping the team (constructor). 1 second apart is far apart in set up its like one half of the team said we're going to try running it on three wheels as there is less drag on the straights and the team saying 'OK then try it, let us know how you get on'........

being realistic, it's not 1 second though, that was just the fallout of qualifying....I'd say the team should at least monitor what each car set up is and advise the race engineers they are poles apart and not helping the team (constructor). 1 second apart is far apart in set up its like one half of the team said we're going to try running it on three wheels as there is less drag on the straights and the team saying 'OK then try it, let us know how you get on'........

Well the BBC are pulling out all the stops this weekend
STILL non of the 5 live recordings work on the iplayer, and when I popped along to their website to see what time they are showing the qualifying it would seem they don't care much for 'spoiler alerts'...
...Top of the page banner, 3 faces in a post quali interview... not much point in waiting for their show at 1pm today then.
Nice one BBC.
Get real FFS. It's a website, why the hell wouldn't you expect them to have the results!?!STILL non of the 5 live recordings work on the iplayer, and when I popped along to their website to see what time they are showing the qualifying it would seem they don't care much for 'spoiler alerts'...

Yes its a bit silly to have news on the main BBC schedule page but that's why you can't rely on other people. Make it impossible to find out the results and you won't find out the results. Going anywhere near the BBC main site is asking for trouble.

Nah, nice dry race, the racing will still be good, and be nicer day for the fans.
I am a fan. I will be dry and warm no matter what the weather at the GP But a wet race will mix it up enough to make it worth watching.... Otherwise I fear it will be a parade.
